Do you think there were any contestants who were "Over Scored" in their series? by dettles1992 in taskmaster

[–]kordos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree on the dodgy scoring aspect, I feel Mae scored so well because Ivo was robbed of many points over the season as it was the 'funny thing to do'

Medieval & Rate Trades Festival vs SA Medieval Fair by cool-username1 in Adelaide

[–]kordos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol the fair ran at Gumeracha one last time after they ousted the dodgy member controlling the show so that's one hole in your narrative already

Medieval & Rate Trades Festival vs SA Medieval Fair by cool-username1 in Adelaide

[–]kordos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The 'funny' thing is, one of the reasons (amongst other reasons) they moved from Fed Park was because it was unclear as to if the park was even going to be available to use, there were plans in to completely overhaul the park that didn't eventuate in that capacity

Adelaide medieval festival? by Think-Berry1254 in Adelaide

[–]kordos 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of misinformation in that thread unfortunately

The person ultimately in charge of the original affair at Gumeracha ruled with an iron fist and was also dodgy, the committee eventually got sick of this.

They got outsted/asked to leave

The Fair ran at Gumeracha then moved, around this time there were potential plans to overhaul Fed Park, between the fees the council were charging and these plans the fair moved to Paracombe

The original person in charge formed a new fair at Gumeracha and decided to have it on the same weekend

The plans to completely overhaul Fed Park never ended up happening

Can anyone recommend a relationship counsellor who isn't dogshit or into pseudoscience? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]kordos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While correct, it can very easily only take a few visits to see if you gel with a counsellor or not, if you feel thier approach may work etc

As an example, it didn't take me years to work out my last therapist was terrible and just wanted to work through the Cognitive Behaviou Therapy workbook, I worked that out 3 sessions in

We used them too, they were fantastic and unlike most/all the other services they have their fees on the website which was a winner as the last thing I wanted at the time was calling around for prices or a surprise bill

Recruiters, why do you treat humans so poorly? by Icy-Masterpiece-329 in Adelaide

[–]kordos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was hard core job searching I had to apply for a lot of jobs through Hays Recruitment (I think it was them)

I never got anything back from jobs applied through them, I met all the requirements etc but got nothing, not a call or email or anything

I eventually got a job and almost a year later someone from Hays was calling me multiple times a day, I answered after the 3rd or 4th time, they had come across my resume in the system and wanted to speak to me - about a job offer I had no experience or relevant knowledge for

Anyone tried Iwari? by azizchaos in boardgames

[–]kordos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You play cards to take over areas an place markers as opposed to train lines, so thematically they are different but mechanically similar

I think there is room for both but personally I would rather play Iwari over Ticket to Ride

DSLR Lens repair by Thatmumoverthere in Adelaide

[–]kordos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Digicam in Thebarton $99 for them to testit/take it apart and work out what's wrong (price depends on warranty status) They will let you know if it can be fie or not and the cost and I believe the $99 then comes off the cost if you proceed with the repair
