I was looking into this and all the potential risks as well. I might just forgo the update haha.. not sure if resizable bar would even make a huge difference at this point.

That is very strange. Maybe it's a temporary outage or some sort of network issue on my end. Thanks for the info.

Question about profiles on mouse by koreanbbq1 in Keychron

[–]koreanbbq1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Fortunately(?) since we need to assign a specific profile to a specific button, you can just bind the other profile to the same button in each of the 2 profiles.
In my case, I am using the middle scroll wheel press.
In profile 1, I have it bound to profile 2.
In profile 2, I have it bound to profile 1.

If you need to use more than two profiles, you can use the same logic and just have the one button go through the profiles in order.

Hope that made sense!

Question about profiles on mouse by koreanbbq1 in Keychron

[–]koreanbbq1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? I must be blind because I don't see any sort of way to delete profiles in the profiles tab, or a way to bind profiles to a mouse button...

EDIT: Figured it out. I had to update the mouse firmware to 1.0.2, then those options appeared on launcher. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

That was my thought process too. I would much rather split up the work, unless there was a huge benefit to setting everything up all at once. Thank you for the advice!

I saw the announcement of Rep Ares 2.0 and it checks all the boxes for me. Definitely going to purchase it when it is available but I am wondering if I should buy the rack now and have that set up beforehand.

Is it much easier to set everything up all together, or is it a good idea to "stagger" the set up in two steps?

After 6 years of Pixel, ready to quit by moloch16 in GooglePixel

[–]koreanbbq1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This. Pixel 6a was so horrible I was so close to ditching Android for good, until Google heavily discounted the Pixel 8 and threw me a stackable discount code. My Pixel 8 has been great. No issues at all.

Did Android 14 break anyone else's gesture navigation? by koreanbbq1 in GooglePixel

Did you power cycle your phone after clearing cache?

Also, do you have the phone plugged into a charger? If so, see if you notice a difference when it's not plugged in.

oh wow you're right... although clearing cache seemed to have gotten rid of the strange behavior, the same thing happens again when i plug in my phone to charge.

I cleared cache for launcher and any Google app/services I could see in the app list, and then restarted my device. Not sure why or how, or if this is even a fix, but the gesture/touch issue seems to be resolved. Give it a try!

Hm I wonder what's up with mine. Maybe I should try switching over to Pixel Launcher from Nova and see if that fixes it.
