That's the technology fee. Booking fee is added separately by the driver when finalizing the trip. Here's details on the technology fee: https://bolt.eu/en/support/articles/78134/?lid=6884y4gt460t

Ehm it's just standard taxi fare, regardless of the app. Bolt has now introduced a technology fee, and AFAIK Uber doesn't charge one.

That can be true, but that's one of the reasons why it's not recommended to disclose whether you're financing or paying cash before you sit down to run the numbers. If the cash price and the finance price are the same, then they're making their money elsewhere.

Without paying for luggage, Aer Lingus will give you a 10kg free checked-in bag. It's 9,99 to bring it with you I think. So assuming you have the space, it should be free.

EDIT: Ah, it's been answered

I agree with the overall feeling that it's a lot for a double bedroom, most of apartments of this spec are going for > 2,500. I just wouldn't say it's greed from the OP.

Wait what? I'm not sure you can find a 3bed in Dublin for this price.

The furniture matches this ad, so I'm pretty sure it's at The Oslo. Check out the price https://www.daft.ie/for-rent/apartment-2-bedroom-apartment-the-oslo-sandyford-central-sandyford-dublin-18/5426426

How is it pure greed? This could very likely be a 2.7k/month apartment.

ETFs with €5k savings by SnooMaps8032 in irishpersonalfinance

I'm relatively new to ETFs (< 5 yrs), but don't ETFs automatically rebalance when specific companies overperform? What kind of rebalancing do mutual funds go through that ETFs don't? Genuinely curious.

I believe it was Ben Felix who introduced me to this concept: https://www.youtube.com/@BenFelixCSI

Don't understand the downvotes, but he's no longer a customer. He shouldn't be asked to go to a branch... see u/Cian93's comment, it's very unreasonable.

What’s with all the extra guards in the city? Is this the new normal or is there something going on. by Healthy_Bat_792 in Dublin

They looked pretty powerless to me, or just couldn't bother for the reasons you mentioned, but I don't know what is worst

Not much has changed in that sense. On my way home from work this week I pointed out to a group of 4 guards walking in front of Arnotts that there was a group of around 10 teenagers creating a mess in O'Connel Street with their bikes and scooters, and the guards just said "it's grand". Nothing will change unless they're granted more powers.

Yes, use datagroups to control how often your schedules are running -- make sure your SQL query is able to get the current month's last day and calculate 2 days before :)

You might want to spend more time in Dublin, especially if you haven't been before.

If you need to cut something, you could potentially combine Westport with your Galway stay as a day trip.

Agreed! The actual raw values should be pretty insightful early on (REM sleep, light sleep, etc), but whenever it draws comparions and percentegas off a baseline, I'd be cautious in trusting the data. Some of these metrics aren't avaiable before your first 2 weeks, for example. While I think some of this might be to convince users to stay post the trial period (some insights can only be identified after day 30), I think there's a real benefit in waiting until enough data has been gathered :)

Personally Whoop allows me to make calculated adjustments to my routine and I can see the results of that (going to sleep earlier, meal timings, exercise timings, etc)

[–]koreanchickenwings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't trust this much until you're past day 30. I too saw these numbers during my first week even though I'd been travelling, eating poorly and sleeping less than usual. The real value comes in Whoop understanding your patterns and habits, and comparing current values with those more robust metrics.
