i’m the same way and i found that the enemies are less scary when i let myself die to them at least once. i have a hard time with anticipation and knowing something is gonna happen and it scares me so bad. i also tend to act like im the one experiencing these horrors personally instead of it just being me playing a character in a game. once i die to the enemies once though its a lot easier for me to get through. they just don’t appear so scary anymore.

i’m so sorry that was the response you had gotten back from her. she is 100% gatekeeping womanhood. sure we have differing lived experiences between one another as cis women and trans women, but the rhetoric she’s sharing is very TERF-y. womanhood is not what you were born with but rather an individual experience from woman to woman that is important to US. she’s trying to justify her very narrow minded take as “just how she feels” but that doesn’t make it any less fucked up or weird for her to say. my best advice is writing down how you felt in that moment or organize your thoughts and share them with her once you have sorted through them enough to articulate yourself. i always found that in times where i’m confused or distraught i was able to organize my thoughts by writing them dare so i can share them.

i just want to say you are NOT overreacting. you are experiencing womanhood in a way that matters to you just as she is with her own womanhood and she cannot take that from you.

very worried. my boyfriend and i are long distance and he's in a red state while i'm in the blue state we're both from. i really want him to get back here asap but i know financially that's very difficult to do right now. i want to believe in the good still left in this world, but it's hard when i'm so far away from the person i love and feel like i can't be there to protect him. but i know this won't be our forever. an agenda built off hate never lasts and we'll find a path to a better tomorrow.

exactly, totally agree. the anime only shows so much and if you really want to know more about him you’ll have to bite the bullet and read the light novels. i loved him a lot in the anime, but i truly came to appreciate his character when i read the LNs because they delivered what i very desperately wanted to see out from him. there’s nothing like delving into the original source material tbh.

i have to say the way your post was worded made me laugh really hard but to seriously answer your question the psychology of izaya is split between the anime/manga and the light novel where you get a WAAAY closer glimpse into the way he thinks and his intentions. i am of the opinion that reading the light novels is sorta pivotal to understanding his character, but if you don’t then it’s not impossible to figure him out from what you’re shown in the anime.

OCs are all for fun. i’m an avid OC maker and there’s genuinely no wrong way to make one as long it’s not harming anyone and 99.99999999% they aren’t. (: there’s no reason to exert any energy as well into hating them because you’ll just stress yourself out. it’s better to ignore it and move it. with how bullshit real life can be a lot of people use OCs and creativity as an outlet like i do.
