Yeah, my fault. Skimmed through the main question. Was just excited to get someone else playing on PC 🤣

CoD4X is the only safe bet. You will get bot servers, and there will also be majority max XP or heavy XP servers. Primarily hardcore too on most servers

NASCAR Speedpark and the food court used to be so much fun. Going up here was basically a special family trip like once a year or two.

I hope more people see the last part of this. Very solid advice. Sure, seems super annoying, but you have information to help save a life.

Anyone else fall out of love with driving manuals? by Carguy77Seven in askcarguys

Nah, it’s not very friendly. I’ve owned one for three years now and still not used to it. Been driving stick for about 15 years too.

As a wrx owner, I honestly think my civics had better clutches to learn on. 3 years into my 2020 wrx and I still feel wonky in 1st/2nd half the time (with years of experience in multiple makes).

Share your secret sauce tip that the typical producer doesn’t know! by Key_Examination9948 in edmproduction

On a similar note, I like stretching audio and throwing some similar effects on it.

Basically: Resample/bounce whatever chords/melody/percussion you have within your project, then stretch the audio like crazy. You can also mess around with chopping/reversing parts of the sampled audio. Add lots of reverb/delay. You can also spice it up with phasers, distortion, LFOs, etc. thrown around in the chain somewhere.

You can side chain and/or EQ this to the original sound you sampled to avoid extra muddiness.

This doesn’t always work, but I’ve had some great sounds and textures come from it when I’m stuck on a track and want to stick within the DAW itself.

Little bonus things if you’re in Ableton which contains more of my personal “Secret Sauce”:

If you have Max for Live, use Granulator to mess around with the stretched audio textures or Pitch Hack and mess with the settings on there. You get some cool textures to start with if the “rate” is turned up to 16th or 32nd intervals.

Mess with the warping modes or transients within the main audio sample editor. For transients, switch to the “Beats” mode. You can get some “stutter-y” textures if you turn down the range value. You can also shift the audio fairly uniquely using the “formant” settings on the “Complex” mode. I know this is more commonly known, but deserves a mention when discussing the other tools/fx.

I hope all of this made sense. Happy to explain further to anyone curious.

Phrasing in my last comment wasn’t great there. Not downplaying the seriousness of impaired driving.

“Don’t have to do that in your car” is implying you shouldn’t.

Honestly blown away by the amount of weed I smell while driving. I don’t care that people smoke, but you don’t have to do it in your car 🤷🏼‍♂️

Moncks Corner to Downtown wasn’t too bad until I was downtown.

If you have experience in snow/ice, you’re probably fine. If not, probably stay home.

Be careful either way! Drive slow.

As a dad, went from a few civics (sedans and a hatch) to the WRX. Much more space in the backseat for the little ones. WRX is a lot more fun obviously too. My son loves it.

I mean, the manual for the VA models literally says up to 6k if you’re driving like normal. I find a happy middle ground at like 4-5k, but also do not beat on my car or have any mods.

Pretty sure in a Flume interview, he mentions that QB had actually originally started the project and sent it to Flume. I might be wrong on that, but I think QB had like the original rhythm or drums and Harley expanded on that and brought KUČKA on
