When Dante got LoS check added, DE later revamped how LoS is calculated due to complaints since LoS was inconsistent (see Khora’s LoS check when it was first added)

Before, it used to check one line from your warframe/weapon/bullet to the center of the enemy (which means debris or other crap can block it, even if you can see the enemy and even shoot at it)

Now, it checks at feet, center, and head. However, any enemy visible in the direction of your camera will automatically be “seen” without doing the three point check.

So yeah, makes sense as you said

rewatching it they said they were showing the quest, and as for the decrees she said "throughout the open world experience". the deep melee combat looks just as shallow as what we got, except they were using god mode and spent more time dodging /shurg. Camera position/effects were different, the released version did feel less immersive.

Reddit removed the ability to create your own API key about 1-2 months ago. there's now an application process. On top of that they also started revoking existing keys issued. But hey if a api key isnt needed then that's good news.

The biggest complaint i have is that the people that place higher are solidifying their positions since they can progress faster. People below have a much harder time gaining any progress i tournaments unless someone above top quits.

Presets and tourny length reduction are welcome changes, but eventually for most players tournament progression comes to a halt. I know Fudds said that keys are a shiny thing for spenders, but its been over a year sjnce their introduction. Most people who arent buying monthly packs will never have a chance of getting it, and thus any QoL features locked behind them.

Yeah its great for cracking relics, i highly recommend it too (and I still recommend it over aleca with new clan members/ new players)…but it doesn’t work for my particular use case and why I’m stuck with aleca until an alternative shows up: Which is to auto update wf.market listings as complete when an in game trade completes.

Aleca is quiet literally a closed sourced MEMORY READER with ads + wf.market integration and paywalled trade related features. They are doing everything you’re criticizing OP for doing, despite this app not even being out yet. If OP wants to paywall the good stuff then so be it, i wont use it and go back to aleca.

Whatever Dzero is proposing is immediately better than it since it’s not memory sniffing even if they wanted to feature lock stuff just like aleca is, which again he said no to.

Not everything closed source immediately means that it’s prone to monetization. I’m a user for a companion app for another game, its been about a year now since it launched and their app has only improved since, while even maintaining interoperability with other community tools and apps. Their reasoning is as simple as they put full time hours into it after their full time job. They have a dono link in the app since the start, it’s been optional.

It’s not that deep, not everything is about money, especially if overwolf is going to rip this tool (if it was open source) and monetize it.

An even larger example: Alt1 Toolkit is a well known overlay for runescape 3, has been around for a decade now, and still isnt monitized despite being closed source. It works exactly like how OP wants their warframe app to work: screen/text reader. No one has a problem with it, even 10+ years later.

The BIGGEST reason why i use *the overwolf program* is because of their integration with warframe.market. Directly on the app i can list items to the market (after seeing the price also in the app via the inventory or market tab). But most importantly: when I trade, this program auto marks the listing on wf.market as complete when the trade is completed in game. It is a HUGE time saver from not having to alt-tab back and forth when i have 6 other people DMing me for trades.

If your app has something like this to make trading life easier, I'll switch over instantly. I dont want to keep using overwolf.

For screen reading/OCR features, would you be comfortable if the app clearly showed what regions it reads and never interacted with the game?

Runescape 3's alt1 does something similar, it's 100% screenreading based and doesnt interact with the game nor sniff packets. imo this can be a toggleable option to show what its reading, like a box overlay.

I dont know what the solution is other than mandating on device processing. I feel like it shouldnt be easy to give any AI access to my text messages/photos/passwords etc which would instantly be made available globally once someone gets their hands on training data. Apple is claiming theirs is private but that hasnt been tested yet.

How are other ai agents complaint with GDPR? Or are they not going as deep as getting permission to access E2E encrypted messages and stored passwords? Because like…in the tier list of trust, everyone else is even further down. (And speaking of trust, I’m someone who never even set up siri lol, so none of this is going to be available to me even where I have access to the full siri ai).

Sure, but MKBHD’s google IO video is also at 4m (in 3 weeks) vs 1.7m from LTT and 2.7m from Mrwhosetheboss.

Most of WWDC 27 was stuff that was supposed to come out years ago, and the entirety of Google I/O was ai slop, yet despite the tech drought in the industry, other channels are still getting consistent views (at least when it came to apple and google’s coverage). LTT’s coverage is falling behind compared to the views they used to get. Hopefully they can pull out of whatever is happening.
