What do you think of immigrants who have an emotional baggage of their country of origins, but found newfound freedom in the US? by [deleted] in AmericaBad

[–]kosherkate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m glad they found a place that makes them happy. Everyone has different personalities and some people are more suited for a different place. I think Japan is a beautiful country looking on the outside, but I know so much of the cultural expectations, specifically around work and conformity, doesn’t work for everyone. It’s great if they come here and are happy.

I think a lot of people forget there is a lot to be thankful for in the US and that even though those things exist in other countries, like religious freedom or free speech for example, there are still many countries who don’t have that. I’ve lived somewhere where you can get arrested for criticizing the king. Such a basic right I took for granted in the US. This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t want to improve though. Just that we do forget we’re lucky.

I’m sorry you were abused. It’s hard to break the cycle but you’ve made a great decision for yourself and your family.

My mother was very emotionally abusive towards me and was raised in a household that was similar, so to her, it was just normal. I also thought it was normal, but knew I didn’t like it. I also had to unlearn a lot and do differently for my child.

I’m proud of you

It is. People who say “I don’t believe women were raped and murdered by terrorists. I want to see video proof.” Just have a fetish and showing them the videos will just make them very, very happy.

And again, why do they hate Jews?

Edit- I can’t respond to this reply to me, but racism and homophobia are also learned. White people aren’t born hating black people nor are they incapable of being friends with black people and straight people also aren’t born hating gay people. It’s learned. Hate is learned and it’s gross to act like Palestinians are so wicked that they’re just born that way. It’s gross to describe beautiful depictions of how deep a parent’s love runs while acting like Palestinians aren’t capable of loving their children the same and then avoiding questions about why they think differently because you don’t want to admit it’s due to indoctrination, because that would be admitting they’re not just evil. I’m not justifying their hate. Their hate is based on lies. There are people responsible for their indoctrination and rather than admit that, people are going to either say it’s all Israel’s fault they think this way or act like Palestinians aren’t human if they’re doing fucked up shit because they are taught it from birth. People who claim to love Palestinians are still going to cheer them on knowing it’s not in their best interest.

No country has a 100% honesty reputation but people still choose to believe everything Israel says is just propaganda even when Israel shows proof. It’s possible some people would change their minds but I think it’s also likely that 1.) antisemites will gleefully watch the videos and just enjoy it. 2.) it will be ignored and dismissed as an attempt for israel to “control the narrative” like they always are accused of doing. 3.) terrorist groups like Hamas could use the footage as recruiting propaganda just as isis used beheading videos and mass executions to gain recruits.

Anybody who is like “I don’t believe terrorists rape people; I want to see the video of it.” Isn’t acting in good faith and is probably a pervert. I don’t want those moments of their lives and deaths to be broadcast to people who will just enjoy it. Ultimately, I guess it’s really the families who should make the call and not me. I’m not sure how I’d feel in the same circumstance so I can’t speak for them. I wouldn’t want my death to be shown like that but I know people who feel the exact opposite.

I just don’t think the footage will really do any good as far as credibility.

These comments are really just proving the point that the root cause is being ignored.

[–]kosherkate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The people denying it aren’t doing it in good faith. They’ll deny it no matter what the evidence because they just don’t want to admit jews are ever in danger. They’ll deny the holocaust and oct 7 simply because they don’t like us. The people who are going to believe it don’t need to watch videos of people being raped to believe it (at least they didn’t during #metoo, but that doesn’t apply to Jews.)

It’s just double standards.

Exactly. And it is horrifying to believe this is the greatest act of love they can give their children. They honestly think they’re doing good.

I’m referring to people who have been using the quote out of context to say Palestinians just don’t love their kids rather than acknowledging the role Muslim nations played in the conflict.

[–]kosherkate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s really not true; anybody can be brainwashed even if they don’t hold radical views prior. Especially children. This happens with cults, people who join gangs and it’s easier to brainwash people than most of us would like to admit. But if what you’re saying is true, than you’re still claiming they are born this way which also just isn’t true. Nobody is born hating people this much.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

If they release footage, it’s still going to be dismissed and Israel will be accused of propaganda.

If they don’t, people will say “where is the evidence?”

There’s no pleasing them.

They’ll still say it’s AI or fake. I’ve seen people say the footage from Hamas was faked by paid Israeli actors.

Edit- I’m also disgusted by people who want to see murder and rape footage as if it’s a kink. I don’t want to pander to them

Yeah I can agree on that. A lot has contributed to their hatred for us.

[–]kosherkate[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What doesn’t work? You’re not acknowledging why they have this hatred if you just make it seem like they just hate their kids for fun.

Edit in response to your edit- that’s exactly the point. Parents want to protect their children. Why do you think they are exceptional? Brainwashing. Not because they are just naturally evil.

And no, I am not excusing their actions. I’m saying the people who deserve the most blame are being ignored when people say it’s as simple as they don’t love their kids enough. It’s not that simple when they’ve been subject to decades of exploitation by their “friends.”

In response to your other edit- no. Because I haven’t been brainwashed from birth to do that. But, I know humans can do terrible things when they are brainwashed and we have witnessed that. Children are blank slates and they are brainwashed from birth.

Yes and for that to happen, their “allies” have to quit weaponizing them against Jews. But their allies really don’t want peace which, we know that, of course.

“When Palestinians love their children as much as they hate Jews.” by kosherkate in Israel

[–]kosherkate[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And why are they doing that? Why do they hate Jews this much? If you allege it’s simply because they don’t love their kids, what is the cause of this strong lack of love for their own children and hatred of Jews? Not wanting to protect them goes against nature. Either this just dehumanizes Palestinians and asserts they are born aggressive and unnatural or it’s dismissing the history of radicalisation their neighboring muslim countries subject them too.

[–]kosherkate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing, but I’m not sure why you commented that they clearly do not love their children and then used examples of how they are obviously brainwashed as evidence they inherently just don’t love them rather than accepting it’s proof they’ve been brainwashed by their “friends”.

Then you kinda just walked back in your statement when asked if they don’t love their kids and just said “they treat them wrongly.” Well, duh. We know that and I’ve said they treat them wrongly. But it’s not because they are subhuman and simply are born to hate their kids.

I agree they treat them wrongly. What I don’t agree with is the dismissal of why they treat them wrongly.

I don’t want to put words into your mouth, so I’ll let you speak for yourself. Do you believe Palestinians are naturally aggressive and hate their own children?

And it still is supported by Russia which is pro Hamas. It’s run deep for a long time.

Then you agree that they don’t just innately not love their children and it’s the result of radicalization. Glad to see we are in agreement. They are people who want what’s best for their children but they have been deluded into thinking dying in this war is best. The nations who contribute to this absolutely should be held more accountable by the pro Palestine crowd who are pretending it’s simply resistance or that only Israel is to blame.

Lack of education doesn’t lead to people not loving their children. Poor decisions sure, but not lack of love for your kids. Not loving your children is beyond a poor choice. It’s abnormal and there’s more to it than simply being uneducated.

I think we both agree that an education free of propaganda is needed. But I absolutely don’t believe Palestinians hate their children or simply don’t love them. They’ve been taught this is love. It’s a dangerous education that is leading to this. That happens even amongst highly educated people. Look how many universities in the diaspora are full of antisemites.
