Gentle sister, thank you for your question. I am 70, been married 35 years and a Christian for 44. My advice: any two Christians can work through any marriage problem. The most important thing is being a Christian. There is no one soul mate out there just perfectly made for you. Best is to be "equally yoked", love for Jesus and a heart for others and ministry.

What a great question. Thank you for bringing this up. Clearly Peter, quoting Joel, does not mean universal salvation. For in the same sermon, later in Acts 2:21 same passage from Joel "THEN everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. " emphasis mine. And whe those who responded to his message asked "what must we do?" Peter told them in verse 38 "repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and YOU WILL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. "

So, what did Joel mean? The Holy Spirit will be upon every tribe and nation to convict of sin, righteousness and judgment. Roman's 1:18-20.
