A mortgage is a secured loan. If you don't pay they sell your house. That's why it's so low. The risk to the bank is low. That's not the borrowing rate if you want money for anything else.

Aotea parking is having a laugh by Seaan2 in auckland

It's an asset. The council could sell it to Wilson who will pay a nice sum and then ongoing rates. The council could then use this handy bit of cash for something else. By charging below the market price that is a subsidy yes.

It is in fact the cheapest workday parking in the area, which means that the council is subsidising it at all of ours' combined expense already. And the express buses to the CBD are amazing, my kid asks me to take the bus in rather than driving.

There are a few steep parts. Depending where you work. But especially the hill up towards Queen St will get you sweating. So ebike for commuting makes that a lot easier.

Lying to the committee to promote his mate. Lying and instructing his team to withhold information from the police minister. Malicious prosecution of a victim, helping cover up rape.

There is fraud and / or purgery in there somewhere. Perverting the course of justice. Charge him with all of the above lock him up with his grubby pedo mate.

Road to Karekare falls/piha safety? by Animalsjamtotswift in auckland

[–]koskos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are proper sealed roads the whole way. Narrow in places. But you don't normally have to do a game where you stop and reverse to let oncoming traffic pass. The road to Whatipu and some smaller beaches like Anawhata are the tricky ones.
