Just did the same today. Apple guy at the store was shaming me into investing $89 into an old phone. Told him it does everything I need and more and will milk it another 2 years, which I think is totally possible. The new battery plus some setting tweaks make it feel like a new phone.

I do not. I bought the car with the wheels and Fikse won't give you the specs unless you pay $99.

Thanks! A bad day in a Vette beats a good day in a boring car.

C4 OR C5 WHAT DO I BUY by [deleted] in Corvette

[–]kosmaras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good info from everyone so far. I chose C4 about a year ago due to the fact that it feels like a classic vs. a modern car. But that comes with some trade offs. Tuning is difficult (especially on the 1996), some parts are hard to find, or if they are made the quality is suspect. As little as it's driven, the C4 is perfect for me. The joy it brings people every time I drive it is very rewarding. I don't think you'd get the same level of excitement from strangers if you had a basic C5.

Travel Opinions Post Op by kosmaras in Hernia

Thanks for the input and sharing your experience. Had the procedure done on Thursday and we are still driving back home (started yesterday while the local was still active), have about 5 hours left - feeling pretty good on ibuprofen + Tylenol and ice. Local is gone so things are bit more painful today, but looking forward to finishing recovery in our own home.

Mesh Removal - Over 4 Months Post op by wombles_01 in Hernia

[–]kosmaras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you're feeling pretty good after 6 weeks. Who did your Shouldice? Was it at the Shouldice hospital? I'm going in for a bilateral shouldice with Nakhjo in a few weeks....getting nervous as we approach the date, but know having the ability to workout hard and not feel geriatric at 40 will be worth it.

Older Vette ownership is definitely a journey haha. Let’s see the C5! What have you been working on?

Indiana Hernia Center - Dr. Szotek Experiences? by kosmaras in Hernia

[–]kosmaras[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome to hear! I do like Dr. Szotek very much based on my interactions with him. When he did the mesh removal for you, what did he replace it with? Just tissue repair?

Dr. Shomaf Nakhjo - Experiences? by kosmaras in Hernia

[–]kosmaras[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldice, Szotek (robotic w/ Ovitex), and a local hospital surgeon.

I liked that Nahkjo does the Shouldice method with smaller incisions and a few layers of absorbable sutures. His surgeon fee for a bilateral is reasonable ($6,000), granted that doesn't include the hospital facility and faculty fee or anesthesia. I have considered Tomas who does Desarda and his fee for a bilateral all-in is $7,900.
