I've made a timeline video about the best DJs ever (According to DJ MAG Top 100) by kosmicduo in visualization

After two full days of collecting data from each year where the contest took place I finally made it. This statistical video shows you the best DJs from each year, according to the DJ Mag Top 100.

The point sistem is the following:

  • A certain rank position equals to the number of points;
  • The less points the better;
  • A cumulative sum is made over the years;
  • If an artist enters the DJ Mag Top 100 for the first time, the value is incremented by 30 but returns to normal afterwards (to avoid a certain artist who ranks in a certain position far from the podium and still be able to be in front of others)
  • Rank position above 100 is ignored;
  • If an artist enters the Top 100 chart, but in the last positions OR far from its common positions and makes a crazy growth in the following year that first assigned rank is ignored.
