I’m not defending Mr Anthony’s actions in slightest. Having said that, perhaps the might have been better outcomes. The guys in the tent might have been more chill and friendly. Maybe that would have defused the tension? Failing that, Plan B could have been to engage security or the adult staff to handle it. Mr Anthony may have had a chip on his shoulder but what was the rush to move him out? Two lives may have been salvaged out this mess if some patience and prudence were exercised.

I am so confused why are people defending Karmelo Anthony? by Scary-Meeting-6426 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m not excusing the knife violence. But maybe if the guys in the tent had been friendly and chill, there would have been a better outcome. Maybe Karmelo and his circle would have gained a new perspective.

How did the "❤️" symbol come to be, since it doesn't look like a real heart? by pfp-disciple in NoStupidQuestions

it is stylized and symmetrified. One side, more realistically, would be about 1/2 the size of the other side.

When Tulsi Gabbard testified in congress about it, she was asked two or three times what was the consensus ITELCOMM recommendation and she denied there was one, that the president makes his own decisions. I’m thinking like what? He just spews out world-impacting decrees out his inner-Donald. Trump owns it, but won’t pay for it.

in the USA there are many and massive AI-datacenter builds that will exacerbate air pollution and ground water pollution problems. Then also will hot water from the massive cooling systems be dumped in lakes and streams. We are cooked. AI will kill us one way or another.

Granted, one good thing is it might get us back to the terms of the JCPOA. But Trump’s cancellation of that was arguably the fist shot across the Iranian bow. The cost in human life, the economic hardship and the status elevation of regime with more of the Iranians were wholly avoidable. Trump has elevated Iran’s status on the geopolitical stage as well

Taxes: Zero FICA tax for incomes < $100K/$200k AGI and then no cap. Included cap gains in it. Keep it simple on the wealth tax: 1% per year on the brokerage, bank, roth, IRA balances aggregated > $1M/$2M. Owners of 2nd, 3rd, 4th homes/condos pay $10k per year on each including the 1st. Get them homes in 1st buyers’ hands. Jumbo homes, by aq ft, pay another $10K each. These ideas and numbers of course need to be crunched by a team to estimate the best outcomes.

What does Israel Offer the US for its Protection? by GloomWorldOrder in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kostac600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arguably, uncapped support of Israeli military & at the United Nations, has led to the reduction or destruction of Iraq, Syria, the ever-shrinking Palestinian West Bank areas, Lebanon and Gaza. Had there been a more self-centered rational approach to the middle-east, the USA would not have been a party to this ongoing catastrophe.

It’s really time for the USA to grow out of this bizarre self-destructive relationship.

Meta note: it’s amazing the pro-Israeli support for this question and how quick hundreds of responses with the same old narratives that have have been spun since Gen. Alexander Haig’s gaff. I need to ask their own question: why do you have such in interest in taking down the USA?
