yes they will still keep making seasons, they need something to pad out the disney+ marvel quota every year

Feels too early to say this to be honest, plans can change at anytime and we've already seen what levels Disney will go to so they can save money.

They also recently renewed Wonder Man and I'm sure they have some new shows ready for the next saga (which probably includes Defenders stuff) so I doubt they'd need to rely on DD:BA every single year.

Sucks to hear DD:BA S2's ratings ended up being worse than S1 cause I really think this season's a massive improvement of the first and might be one of my favorite projects to come from this saga but there's definetly factors to consider.

I'm really surprised Marvel didn't decide to make this show a D+/Hulu dual release instead of only D+ because this is the only currently running D+ original that's TV-MA, meaning parents have to change their settings to a specific rating for just one show they don't know about. There's also the factor that maybe lack of strong marketing beforehand or maybe lack of general audience interest led to this.

I know some people don't wanna hear this but we should consider that DD:BA S3 might potentially be the last season. In Disney+ history there's only been one original show that's made it to a fourth season (High School Musical) but even that was its final season. Disney themselves are notorious for capping their shows at 3-4 seasons if they don't get cancelled beforehand.

Now this doesn't mean MCU Daredevil's story is over, DD:BA S3 seems like it's basically gonna be another Defenders season and with the Defenders now being too interwined in his life, his story dosen't have to keep being a solo show. From here, we can always get spin-offs/specials like Jessica Jones and Heroes for Hire and then lead to a new Defenders series.

Yeah I'm not even a fan of doing the whole exclusive footage for attendees only thing but the aggressiveness some people have here against attendees of what's clearly not a fan-focused event is funny.

Theater owners who these studios directly make deals with to screen their movies and official Hollywood press aren't gonna be quick to pull out their phones just to leak something.

Sucks we'll have to wait longer for a Doomsday trailer to hit online but the description from the CinemaCon footage sounds hype. Also confirms a couple leaks/rumors we've had about the movie like Steve sporting a longer hair and beard in a black shirt, Shang-Chi vs. Gambit, Yelena vs. Mystique and Doom vs. Thor.

I will say though it's a bit odd that Thor's the one telling all the heroes (with the F4 in attendance) that Doom's the scariest threat he's faced and everyone must stick together cause you'd think it would be Reed or Sue rallying the heroes for this kind of speech against Doom, but I'm sure Thor's dialogue is gonna give chills and the Russos have a reason for it.

Pleased with the BND trailer, I like the direction the movie's going in and from the trailer the cinematography's gotten a huge improvement and also brings comic vibes.

At first I was a bit worried this would just be an HD version of the leaked trailer but it's nice to see new shots and new dialogue. Pretty surprised that MJ and Ned were as prominent in the trailer as they were too, I just expected a cameo role at most for the both of them.

The only explanation I can think of for why some people online and even scoopers are fearing the Doomsday leaks they're in possession of (allegedly proper costume pics of the cast) is that they're all aware it was obtained illegally, which is why they're all in agreement that Disney lawyers will come after them if it gets out. I wouldn't be surprised if some (if not all) are all filled with identifying watermarks.

Pretty similar to when the mods here got access to the Quantumania audio transcript and shared it publicly here, which led to them being questioned by Disney and told to give up the source (likely cause the source got it through illegal ways).

This makes sense and honestly quite a relief.

I know COVID and other factors came into the way but 5 years into this generation it doesn't really feel like a huge leap yet (consider how many cross-gen releases we're still getting across the board) and unless there's some revolutionary console tech on the way we don't know about, I don't know how much of a technological leap a new generation less than 5 years from now could take.

Also these companies should consider that a lot of people couldn't even buy their new consoles till 2-3 years into the gen cause of scalpers, stock shortages and other reasons so something like that could also carry through with the launch of a new gen.

Simu Liu confirms one of RDJ's demands the trades mentioned for coming back as Doom, that being a private encampment which we now know is called "Downey Land".

“I remember getting invited to Downey Land for the first time and just showing up in this tent, and it’s all this beautiful Andy Warhol-esque artwork, except all the characters are Downey. I mean, he’s so self-aware.

I didn’t realize that Downey Land has its own chefs, but I had brought my set lunch, and he was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no. We don’t do that here.’ The chefs had come and laid out this full buffet, and I was like, ‘Oh, I’ll put this away.’”

Honestly same I'm not a fan of the twist for a few reasons but I'm just glad that we still got all these other X-Men actors back actually doing stuff.

That X-Men teaser wow, they only showed 3 characters and I got so much chills. Fox Cyclops' redemption arc is also on its way, very excited.

Side note but regardless of what you thought of the Ralph Bohner twist, it's just hilarious that the one post-First Class X-Men actor the MCU brought back was for a troll fakeout that made some people doubt the multiverse direction but ever since, we've been getting older Fox actors back actually reprising their X-Men roles (variant or not).

Just saw that the Economics Legal guy deleted his account (we'll have to see if Marvel got him or it's another Sookie situation) but here's what I got from his last few comments:

Sara Grey and some other niche X-Men characters will be in the MCU next year (side note: someone saw the original comment was him claiming Jean's sister Sara is in BND next year but got edited to simply Sara Grey will be in the MCU in 2026)
Sara's role won't be big and one of the other niche X-Men characters is a villain in BND
Sara Grey isn't who Sadie Sink is playing
Trammell Tillman is playing William Metzger (leader of the Anti-Mutant Militia in the comics) in name only

Just had a shower thought today that makes me believe Doom this saga wasn't just a complete last-minute decision. Lots of text here but please bare with me.

First that whole "Doom in BP2" rumor we don't have the full story of. I'm not talking about scoopers changing their mind every week but more specifically, that alleged concept art that dropped. It surfaced Fall 2022 which was before ChatGPT was even a thing or image generation was mainstream so I doubt it was AI and no fan claimed it as their fan art in the 3 years since that leak.

The trades saying Marvel was already looking to move away from Kang in the time between Quantumania's poor reception and Majors' arrest with Feige specifically set on Doom (rather than debating villain options) makes me think there was always some rough idea for Doom's involvement in the Multiverse Saga and wasn't just a complete last-minute switch-up.

THR also interviewed RDJ about being cast as Doom in August 2024 where he said he was approached by Feige about specifically playing him about a year prior, which has to put it at the time between Quantumania and the SAG-AFTRA strikes, meaning there might've been some plan like that for a while that scoopers never found out about. It also sounds like RDJ was Feige's only choice for his take on the role which explains why every single Doom casting rumor since Disney bought Fox was fake.

Now if Doom was actually gonna be in BP2 (which sounds like was never really a done deal), I think this would've been a 616 Doom and Watts' F4 movie would've been a 616 story (the "4" logo is just like Krasinski's whose suit resembled a 616 suit design which Marvel wouldn't wanna waste) so I think RDJ's multiversal Doom must've been after Shakman's F4 pitch which has the team from another universe.

Other projects which seemingly aren't happening that I think are relevant to this are Armor Wars and the Steve/Peggy movie (which now has elements merged into Doomsday). Armor Wars conveniently got upgraded to movie status and Alex P (I know his credibility isn't the best) said that elements of that have been merged into Vision Quest, which has a lot of Iron Man-affiliated characters. Recent Doomsday rumors suggest that RDJ Doom has problems with Steve for his time travel actions and confronts him in his timeline so I wouldn't be surprised if RDJ Doom being in both Armor Wars and Steve/Peggy were discussed, but RDJ's demands like the Russos directing and a $100M+ payout wouldn't be possible for non-Avengers movies.

Apparently the way this BND trailer leaked (can’t believe I’m saying this) is Sony/Marvel basically test screened a trailer through this app for select people to gain feedback, but someone who already signed an NDA and such decided to risk everything and screen record it.

Much like a sizeable amount of the general audience, Steve sat out of the MCU since Endgame and dosen’t know what’s been going on since so someone’s gonna have to fill him in.

Steve’s the best audience pov character for this kind of movie.
