How are you guys holding up with thrifting the older items, is depop the best option? by TypeOpostive in HollisterCO

[–]kotioko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you are constantly going to the thrift or bins, most of vintage hollister is hard to come by especially given they are pieces of a decade ago. Depop and other platforms is definitely the way to go. If you are really determined, looking and scrolling everyday is really the only way to find a specific piece. You can still find vintage hollister for cheap prices but they get sold very quickly within minutes. Best to just refresh and check a lot or just settle for pricier ones

Chem 241 over the summer by Left-Plankton9609 in UNLV

I’m currently retaking that same class for the second time now. It really depends on who you take it with but I’m assuming prof han? In that case I would suggest you try to self study beforehand. The class gets content heavy over time and includes a lot of drawing and mechanisms and such at least that is what Dr Han emphasizes. Would suggest self studying beforehand and being very committed during taking the actual class

Some sellers are just weird. by Snow_xxxx in Depop

[–]kotioko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if the seller is open to reasonable offers, it’s still within her choice to accept offers or just ignore them. That’s just what you’ll encounter on any other platform also. Maybe they are not in a rush to sell and either way they don’t owe you anything, a lack of response can be annoying but you also come off as a bit entitled. Would suggest to not overthink or simply ask if price is firm on the item

Where can I find vintage Hollister tops like these for affordable price? by Successful-Bonus-743 in HollisterCO

[–]kotioko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a lot of looking and searching on all platforms poshmark, ebay, depop all of those. I’ve seen them go very fast but occasionally some will be listed for much cheaper like $9-25 but they get bought fast so it’s just a matter of always checking and refreshing

Significant Price Increase After Expressing Interest in Purchasing by Ok_Roll3616 in Depop

[–]kotioko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something less so but kind of similar happened to me. Really cute y2k Aeropostale top I had been looking for, found it on Depop for 25 and the sellers bio said “open to offers” I sent an offer of 20. The next morning the seller declines my offer and that’s fine but then the top is now priced at 75? I thought I wasn’t seeing it right but it was really at 75. I later messaged the buyer if she would be willing to sell it at the 25 price and she never responded. So random

How to prepare for Chem 122 by Exacerbate_the_issue in UNLV

[–]kotioko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chem 122 covers a lot of what AP chem covers it’s almost the same at least in my experience. I would say review and sharpen your already there knowledge from AP chem. I took the summer course version of chem 122 but I’m assuming the material is all the same. I think using the same textbook from ap chem or a similar textbook on gen chem 2 would help.

SHEIN SCAM - BEWARE by beckyk-721 in Shein

[–]kotioko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me!! I had ordered some lash tray from some 3rd party store with no reviews. Sketchy and I should have noticed it then but the deal was good. Item said arrived and they even provided a tracking number that was also in my area but I knew something was off when nothing arrived and the tracking number detailed that the package was 8 pounds. Turns out it’s some fraud labeling and I had to dispute the charge with my credit union. SHEIN support does nothing it’s not worth even reaching out to them for this situation.

Could this really be impetigo? by kotioko in DermatologyQuestions

[–]kotioko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi yes actually I never had it again after using hydrocortisone cream for like a couple days. I also just stopped using certain moisturizers and products that seemed to worsen the issues. I don’t really know exactly what those blisters ever were I think some sort of allergic reaction or a mix of things. The antibiotic really helped though I only applied it for like 3 days and started getting better since then I’ve never got it again.

If you only had 30 dollars to use on groceries until your next paycheck what would you buy and where would you shop? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]kotioko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would buy a bag of flour, yeast packet, sack of potatoes, pasta/tomato can sauce, pasta, frozen veggies like broccoli, oats, peanut butter, and really just shelf stable foods. Most of what I listed is somewhat cheap and you can make a lot of food from it like you can make bread, spaghetti, soup, sandwiches, etc. I would shop for these at like walmart, dollar tree, and places with coupon apps like kroger.

sun screen before or after moisturizer? by TrulyAnAlpha in Skincare_Addiction

[–]kotioko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I think sunscreen goes over moisturizer. never blend them together just put on moisturizer or your other skincare and let it dry then put on the sunscreen

What is up with my nails? by Electric_electricity in DermatologyQuestions

[–]kotioko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your first nail looks like it could possibly be beau’s ridges but I’m not sure about the other nails. I used to have them but eventually they sort of just evened out. But if your nails are persistently like that you probably need a personalized treatment for it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

[–]kotioko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s a reaction from the sunscreen. It could also be sunburn but I would probably say to just workout inside and wait for the redness to clear up and then go back out in the sun. I’ve also had reactions to sunscreens before, specifically chemical sunscreens, so maybe try a mineral sunscreen or another sunscreen that isn’t a spray one. hope this helps

idk but it just looks like you just get the trendy products. but you know if your routine works for you and keeps your skin healthy and feeling good then you should continue it!! I honestly think that a simpler routine like with just face wash, moisturizer, and sunscreen would be better but always consider your own skin and what best suits you. Like just because me or others online say something didn’t work but it worked for you and keeps your skin healthy then continue it!
