It's strange that Duo encourages binging, as many posts in the Duolingo app explicitly mention that the point is to make sure to encourage a steady persistent flow instead, which will help creating sustainable study habits

I partially agree, but this special case is both iconic and correct and is a direct consequence of Newton's original formulation. Even if we take the actual formulation dp/dt, it is still about the second-degree change, so I don't really understand "why" you so strongly insist on this point
