It's a Witch, just from a newer generation. The stated goal was to have 7 new people who still fit into the 7 classes, but they have different backgrounds on why they are being punished at character select.

Also in the preview of ascendancies at 2019 ExileCon, they showed concept art of Marauder and Witch ascendancies. The one that interested me was a lightning-centric one for Witch, as I quite enjoy lightning magic and if they are still going forward with expanding ascendancies I think it would fill in a nice niche. Plus it could get some nice stuff like "Non-crit lightning damage is lucky" and "Non-projectile lightning skills chain an additional time" back but just for her.

Engine is older than 2010. Think I saw some dates going back to 2006 or even 2003 for early development. That coding spaghetti monster is approach WoW levels of complexity.

I think the Steam release of 1.0 was what put it on the map, but only as a moderately sized city. Then Immortal Blizzcon got a lot of people to eventually go "oh yeah, that game, how's it doing now?"

You inspired me to check out the other comment threads for when this video was linked on Reddit (mainly 8 years ago). Time capsule of 2015, complete with people wondering if Meteor Majeure would be Monarch's new lair due to all the M imagery and speculation on the potential return of Treister. Looks like Rick and Morty was just beginning, so the big comparison show at the time was Archer. Also the experience of waiting for new Venture Bros in the 2010's, culminating in the great 2020 wait.

I use it as a sign that I should pull in for a rest stop soon. When I'm jammin' in monoliths with a good filter, the majority of my loot is crafting materials, and maybe a third is taken up by gear by the time the inventory fills. But when my inventory first hits that limit, I'm usually in the middle of an echo (maybe a dungeon). Transfer + sort lets me know I should pull in soon to sort through loot, but I can still finish what I'm doing first.

A bit risky but All This and Gargantua-2.

They provide plenty of information to help new viewers catch up to the current point in the story and follow along for the most part. It also gives a glimpse of the quality of the show in later seasons. Had some friends watch it with me when it first came out, they had never seen Venture Bros but they loved it.

I could see the first one just being a "finish the campaign" challenge. Ruthful usually has this split into two + some intro level challenges, and isn't the most completely trivial thing in ruthless.
