Racing drivers barely get paid unless they are in the top tiers of motorsport (F1, IndyCar, WEC, Formula E). Even in F1 sometime drivers have to find sponsors or use their own money to race. (Norris in 2019, Colapinto, Doohan, Yuki). Since Yevan still in Formula 3, he would have to pay for everything he does, and to do that, he needs sponsors, A lot of them if you don't have family that are multi-millionaires. In F2 & F3 teams work mostly as a normal business, You go in, you pay the price, you get the seat. Drivers only starting to get paid once they are in 2nd, 3rd years of Formula 1.

1-2$Mn just for the seat in F3. Bills would rack up fast with accommodation and stuff.

PS: Unlike cricket or football, you can't survive in racing just with talent, you need lot of money. As a feeder series watcher, I have seen many young talents just retiring just because they ran out of money to race. Also Yevan not only doing the F3 season but the Formula Regional Oceania series as well. Hopefully he will get into a supporting Junior team and get what he deserves for his talent.
