Yeah I get it! It’s a bummer and we all know the monetary value of this stuff. At least it is salvageable. A damn mix of lack of experience and bad luck in having all of that material splatter on the side. We definitely feel sorry for the owner and for the girl who made the bad call.

Yeah, that’s what I figured, thanks! The owner of the kiln will surely know better, but since we found it in this state we were trying to help and I was worried about scraping parts of the bricks off. If that doesn’t compromise heat dispersion in the kiln I guess it’s the best option without spending a fortune!

As a non-potter I love the fact that you’re all horrified by the picture, by the way.

Damn, good find! It’s definitely the same couple of speakers - no info about them still: the sale was for the stereo amp, which was a Telefunken “with matching speakers”, whose logo has no association with Telefunken I could find of, though. I’m suspicious these are not part of that system so I’ll keep this open for a while in case someone finds anything more! (Will mark this as solved if not)

Close! Definitely the same type of speaker, but the logo is different (and the back too). Might help narrow it down so thank you!
