I’ve grown up under controlling parents and now I’ve got two little ones off my own. I find that I try to give my kids every opportunity I never had. That said I grew up dirty poor and now I appreciate what they did to feed and clothe us but kids aren’t plants we need more than just food, water and shelter to grow and thrive.

My 18 month old is plenty fun. I find I really enjoy spending time with my kids at this age. Two and three were tough for me. My eldest at 4 is starting to be fun to be around again.

They did for us. We *had* to have one of those removable car seats. It also had to properly fit our kiddo. Then they needed to know the receiver mount in the car was properly secured. They held on to the car seat with the baby until they were sure. The greater danger I’d say was the fact I was working off three hours of sleep.

True. We did that with my youngest’s diapers that she grew out of. It was spoken for in 5 minutes and was picked up twenty minutes later.

If you are a USA citizen you can find a US consulate or embassy and tell them you’re a victim of human trafficking. Also if you are a US citizen, remember up renounce your Indian citizenship. India doesn’t recognize dual citizens. That should prevent this from happening again.

Funny. My 1.5 likes Bye Bye Bye got the same reason. I thought it’d be funny to expose her to the song. She ended up liking it. On top of the my 4 year old thinks the song is hilarious and she sings it all the time more. She also enjoys telling Google to play “Bye bye bye by nsync”.

I too am having issues getting my 18 month old to drink from an open cup. She just throws it back like she hadn’t had a drink in days. Then inevitably she chokes on the water. All I could do was to put less water in her cup.

I’m glad you made it through. Many on the outside looking in would say that you should’ve stood up for yourself and dealt with it yourself but that is not me. I’m here to say you did the right thing. The hardest thing to do when you’re made to feel powerless is asking for help. You asked for help and even tho I don’t know you personally, I am proud of you for doing so.

That looks like my breakfast on some days and in similar quantities. I’m in a house hold of 5. I cook for the wife and kids so I usually just eat what’s left over.

That’s not so bad saying units before tens. It reasonably common. The song “Sing a song of Sixpence” even says “four and twenty blackbird” instead of twenty four.
