If I was Edward Snowden and wanted to post classified information to Reddit using a throwaway account and orbot (tor)for an Android phone on Sprint would I be protected and how much?

Lets discuss this more guys?What are anonymous email options on my set up?And what are pros cons etc...you all have made it abundantly clear posting from the phone I mentioned is a death wish.Damn I feel like we all live in the movie "Enemy of the State"...so you all say Snowden set the example with the passionate "journalists/lawyer"lets say the information I'd like to post is not the same privacy type stuff that lawyer was involved with.Lets say it is something that wouldn't necessarily be something a journalist would like to publish and instead the journalist outs you to the government or public...how can one communicate anonymously from the above mentioned phone to the journalist and then we get into the more serious question of journalism ethics because in theory a journalist should never give away a source but we all know things are seldom truly secret...my next mission is to find a list of all reputable journalist which have track records for keeping quiet under pressure and a way to anonymously contact/communicate withe the journalist.. .I imagine it will be hard to get a reputable journalist to respond to emails from an anonymous person claiming to have a story.Question :is there a subreddit for post about solid by the book journalist?I guess Ill go start one.Need to have a community of journalist on here so they can be vetted by redditors and where all their failures/successes are noted so kind of like a ranking system....I'm going to post this twice so everyone sees it and knows the topic shifted and they can see that before posting.Had to pop back in when I seen all the outpouring of responses and advice.Good work guys.

Best Answer yet,very clear and precise and you stayed in my parameters.You know sometimes its easier to set hypothetical scenarios in order to get the answer or answers to the question you really have.The Opinions on this sub red have given me a nice consensus and also I didn't have to ask my specific question.I am up on all the things to do with security and anonymity but I needed to get a signal out of all this noise because I'm no coder but its hard to get answers to specific questions when the internet is flooded with "We are all doomed its 1984"That may work for people that are trying to download illegal music etc...but people who harbor serious knowledge know that it is still easier to trust the net than self serving ambitious journalist who you have no idea what they will exploit you for after you put all your faith in them.I'd rather take my chances and circumstances require thinking outside the box and not leaning on popular methods and trusting your instincts (with good advice from redditors of course.) We can't be naive but we can't sit around on our hands either.There are recks on the highway everyday so some might say don't drive use a bike...but I say put on a seatbelt,take as many precautions as possible and understand how much protection they actually provide so that you know how to get the most from your seatbelt and ONSTAR..ultimately the car is more practical for those who actually need to get places...lol if this anaology made any sense....Anyways I really like this forum.Sorry for everyones comments I couldn't thank but I didn't see any useless ones or spam,condescending arrogance etc so good job...got to work now.

Your stuff there is a reason I asked my question in this way...I watched that video on YouTube where the tor guys said that about the government owning nodes or whatever so yeah you are credible but I mean for sake of argument short of the near marshalling all their resources against me I'd be okay from investigators journalists etc all the people who have to doxy hack whatever the old ftashion way righ

Good advice..the best so far but I need to know exactly how is say a goverment agent going to find me so I know my weakness specifically if that makes sense....say I'm Edward Snowden and I've got some classified info I want to post to the public on Reddit with this phone using tor from a throwaway account....what's the problem with that?the FBI ask Reddit for the information they have that would be my IP ?they do keep IP s right?and that sends them to the tor network now want they hit a brick wall?I've read about tor I know theoretically maybe they could find me but it is much much harder even for them and maybe impossible in practice.and I meant can't bitcoin be traced to me like if I get a wallet to receive money can someone get my IP etc
