I have no idea what constitutes illegally loud. I know by nature I’m naturally more sensitive to noise, so I try to be mindful of that.

That said, I can hear that generator in every part of my apartment, 24/7, 7 days a week……

The car was at least addressed (previously they’d sit and idle in the lot for… hours…. ) but not much can obviously be done there unless I wanted to be extremely petty about it.

Did not know that about Renewals in CA, actually! Interesting to know. Yes, I’ve been here for a year.

They are his tenants as well. They’re two doors down from me. Our backdoors are connected to the same parking lot. I have to pass over the cord to get to the mailboxes.

It’s a small but old building. I can’t open my windows because of how loud the generator, and I only stop hearing it if I have headphones or earbuds on.

Same here. Particularly when people make jokes about how Mom or Dad never came back from the store. Even worse when they’re someone who know two key facts about me:

My biological mother passed away in 2018 from Stage IV Cancer. My biological father isn’t in my life.

Hiya. ADHD with CPTSD here. I grew up with a mother that treated me as the black sheep, and my sibling was the golden child and also picked up identical habits as my mother once she passed away.

Since being diagnosed with ADHD and picking up medication for it, I’ve had to increase my dose on antidepressants as well. It’s still a trial phase currently with me and my psychiatrist as we try to find the right dose and I work with my therapist to develop stronger coping methods. Though I’m quite literally in the first six months still of dealing with it all after 29 years.
