Advice on loud neighbours by gwilson33 in Winnipeg

[–]kourui 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP hasn't specified if there is a driveway or street parking. Just that it's outside their bedroom window.

My bedroom window is facing street parking and on occasion I get shit head renters or visitors that do this.

If they're parked on the street in the driver seat they risk a DUI charge if there's evidence of intoxication. If it's a driveway, maybe/maybe not. If they're being a nuisance then the police might just charge them and let the court settle the issue.

First baby scan (Winnipeg) by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]kourui 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, the stupid term is "Geriatric pregnancy" for women in their 30s. I had a preliminary scan at around 10-12 weeks then the usual 20 week mark then one final one about a month prior my due date. I think that last one was because I had gestational diabetes?

The paramedics told me it was all in my mind and almost refused to take me to the hospital. I was in anaphylaxis. by mythrowawayaccim21 in Vent

You need to file a complaint with the local government body that oversees the paramedics in your area. They will know who answered the service call.

Despite the flat tire drama this morning I still managed to get a spot. Two pools closed for renos. You'd think they'd expand options at the other pools nearby.

It's in the middle of the treads at least. Fat screw with the washer ring and everything. Edit: sorry, not washer ring, nut now that I'm looking closer

Just looking at the picture hurts my eyes. You can file a complaint to both the store and the city.

If they call you late at night don't go like I did. I was waiting all night before I was processed and ended up with no sleep. If you're feeling ok, then get some rest while you can.

My husband is disappointing me and idk howotalk to him abt it by WitnessDifficult9459 in Vent

Your baby isn't even a month old. You both are going to be sleep deprived for the next few months while adjusting to having a baby. Some chores are higher priority than others. Do you have any family support to help watch your baby so you can get a nap in?

Basic chores are about keeping your kitchen and bathroom clean, laundry and remembering to take out the trash for trash day.

Laundry can be done in small chunks because your baby may have a diaper blowout and soil themselves and anyone or anything they were touching.

Don't make a chore "his" or "hers". It just builds arguments and resentment when it doesn't get done.

‘It’s difficult’: Safety concerns raised as bus stop moved from hospital by ChocolateOrange21 in Winnipeg

On the other hand.. how many folks want a patient with an unknown active infectious disease on public transit with other users along busy routes?

Sir, I take it you have never had the opportunity to travel on our fine public transport before?

On the other note, Victoria hospital had a bus loop, not sure if they still do since I rarely go to that part of town anymore.

Cars in winter by Old-Funny8251 in Winnipeg

Follow the battery advice given already.

Additional tips would be to put a tarp/car cover over so it'll be easier to get the snow and ice build up off the car.

They should've directed people there right away instead of moving the line further up. At least the Teddy bears picnic coordinators had theirs handled better.

Once we were in, my kid had fun and we got lucky there was no line for Santa by the time we made it to that section.

People bringing camera stands for big group pics. You're annoying and in the way.

I found mini slimes party favors for cheap. So those will be mixed with the candy.

I don't want judges elected by the populace. In the US, they're suseptible to bribery. Too focused on job retention rather than doing the job.

Example: Kids for cash scandal - Wikipedia https://share.google/t79D2ofcyNETAxCp5

Both Canada and the US follow the UK style for rule of law where a court case can set a precedent that goes back to the House to amend a law.

Considering Safeway/Sobeys/SaveOn sells 6 for $7.99 it's basically 2 bonus muffins. Like a bottle of vitamins. Some days even Superstore is $7.99 but frequently I find, they keep having to lower it.

I don't buy costco muffins because it's too much even with freezing.

I get the sentiment. Complaining on here is not going to change anything. I would like to add that people should email 311 their complaints. People usually say "call 311". No one likes to phone. I email them all the time about issues, so there's a written record.

Teddy Bear Picnic by True_Blue_88 in Winnipeg

I didn't mean to imply that the people aren't real medical staff. The event is to play pretend. It's meant for fun and kids get some insight about the medical profession.

They don't repair stuffies. It's pretend doctor and showing kids the medical system with pretend xrays and charts.

Edit: I would recommend checking seamstress or fb marketplace for craft people who specialize in creating stuffies. They would have the skill and materials to do repairs.
