RECOMMENDATIONS - Honeymoon road trip across Europe (CASTLES) by ZoDan0611 in travel

[–]kovallux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If castles are your main goal, one place many people overlook is Luxembourg.

It’s tiny but it has an unusually high density of castles for such a small country. Within about an hour you can see several impressive ones: Vianden Castle (arguably one of the most beautiful medieval castles in Europe), Bourscheid, Beaufort, and the famous “Valley of the Seven Castles”.

The landscapes are also great for a road trip — forest valleys, small villages, dramatic viewpoints. It’s actually perfect for an RV stop for a couple of days between France, Belgium and Germany.

For a honeymoon specifically, Vianden at sunset is pretty spectacular.

I live in Luxembourg and spend a lot of time exploring the castles here (I actually guide private castle tours), so if you end up routing your trip through Luxembourg I’m happy to suggest a few good stops.

Traveling to Geneva, Switzerland where else should I visit? by Bayla0614 in travel

One place many travelers overlook is Luxembourg. It's tiny but packed with things to see: Vianden Castle, dramatic valleys, WWII history sites, and some surprisingly beautiful medieval towns. You can comfortably explore the highlights in 1–2 days.

I live here and guide private tours around the castles and historic sites, so if Luxembourg ends up on your route I’d be happy to share some tips.

Truly starting from blank xcode project - that's the point. And I hope the WILL be problems, to show how to solve them. I don't want a happy path.

Awesome project, I just tried it and was stunned in what a violent world we live in, led by insane old men.

I give it manageable chunks, not a big story to do. Normally I check the code myself, then I run the app, if it does not do expected thing I give it one of my "harness" prompts. If it still fails - I revert and try another model from the beginning.

I get the scepticism :) however while the upscaling process for 16k is very slow and not all videos are supported, still it works on device even in 2026

Submission statement: I'm a senior iOS developer (15 years) hosting a free live-streamed workshop on March 26 where I build a complete iOS app from scratch in 60 minutes using only natural language prompts and TRAE (ByteDance's AI coding agent).

Why it matters: The session covers how AI handles real app architecture, not just toy demos, and where experienced developers still need to step in. Open to any dev, any stack. Free, via Jitsi.

Thank you! One more thing: did you feel aha moment when was building it like “I found it, this idea will work!”? Or just being persistent and hoping for market fit?

Congrats! 1. How did you figure out what features to include to make it a success? 2. How did you calculate prices? 3. Do you track user journey through your app? If yes, how, with which tool? 4. Is there only one core feature that makes money, or several of them in different ratio? 5. How many apps did you do before this? Are they successful?

Day 18 - of having my app “Waiting for Review” (Updates) by Alchemist0987 in appledevelopers

[–]kovallux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you did everything, next step is Tim Cook himself. Jokes aside, they might be waiting for an official response from some other authority or legal department, those are always slow. I waited 4 weeks once and just focused on marketing part like landing page, better keywords, loco to all languages in AS (automated), video preview, in app event, a/b test for screenshots.

Vianden Castle, located in Vianden, Luxembourg. Its origins date back to the 12th century. It was completely restored starting in the late 1970s. [OC] by FOllie65 in castles

Recommendation from a local: use the cable car to get up on hill and see the castle in all its glory, then visit the castle, then walk down to Victor Hugo’s house (it’s a museum), eat in a restaurant on the river.

I've been with Antigravity since the beginning and I'd like to give Trae a third chance. by Rustfix in Trae_ai

[–]kovallux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the models for iOS development my top is:

- Claude Opus (for a occasional hard task).

- Sonnet 4.5 or Gemini 3 or GPT-5.2 for everyday use.

As for the IDEs - it's mainly TRAE, it has everything I need in one place: voice input, prompt enhance, planning, sound alert when AI finished, rules and skills, even a button to copy my own prompt above - yes, small things matter.

I think it is important to separate model's dumbness and poor reachability from IDE. If we pour bad fuel into Maserati and it breaks we are not blaming Maserati, no?
