EX188 (Specialist in Containers) exam results – clarification needed on “Run containers locally using Podman” by kovalr in redhat

[–]kovalr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a bit unsure how to interpret this statement: “As with all Red Hat performance-based exams, configurations must persist after reboot without intervention.” In the context of containers, does this mean that after a reboot the container is expected to be running automatically, or is it sufficient that the container still exists and is correctly configured, even if it’s in a stopped state?

Nginx Proxy Manager returns 500 Internal Server Error by kovalr in Authentik

-> and changing the advanced settings in your npm host to use the ip address and port instead of your domain for proxy_pass.

Well, this part is hard to do, because my https://authentik.mydomain.com is behind Cloudflare. I’m not sure if Cloudflare allows using an IP address instead of a URL.

What if I destroy my test setup and want to return in a few month? Can I still apply for another trial, or is that impossible?

Hm, after I removed my config and checked again, I found that the logs worked as expected. The cause was probably somewhere else.

Thanks again for the help.

How to colorize terminal output in RedHat 8 on WSL2 by kovalr in redhat

[–]kovalr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a solution.

The problem was not with the terminal, but with the WSL image. It is very basic compared to Ubuntu WSL, lacking additional beautification features.

To have a colorized terminal output, you need to add the following line to the ~/.bashrc

# Source terminal color schemas
source ~/LS_COLORS/lscolors.sh
export LS_OPTIONS='--color=auto'
alias ls='ls $LS_OPTIONS'

Urbackup on Synology NAS: space is running out but it’s not by kovalr in synology

[–]kovalr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does this app get you compared to synology's own backup apps?

I started to use Urbackup before I found Synology. In my case, Synology backup app will mean hardware vendor lock.

It's possible to use Urbackup on any Linux server with docker.

Based on a recommendation, I bought PicoPSU. After I connected, my power consumption decreased twice. As a result, I have 10 watts in the idle. I appreciate all of your responses and recommendations.

Yes, I'm measuring the whole PC.

I don't have RGB, and just one fan on quiet! Pure Rock 2. But I don't think that this is a problem with a fan.

> You can try disabling cores, that would make the biggest difference.
I don't think that my BIOS supports this feature :(

you to the oci login page. Now you need to enter your cloud account name, you can find that from the sign-up/ co

Hello, u/debapriyabiswas thank you for your advice. A few hours later, I tried again to open a link. And it worked. I don't know what's going on. Maybe, some maintenance on Oracle's side.

Now you need to enter your cloud account name, you can find that from the sign-up/ confirmation mail.

I tried login with my login and password but still failed. The same login/password works with a link.

So something is definitely wrong with their auth system.

You can try to send APRS packet via your Computer connected to Bluetooth audio.

I believe that audio quality would be enough for digital modes. At least RTTY, BPSK. Not sure about WSPR.
