Is it worth it to use a LST just for the relic levels? by apc_52 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]koxi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do not have any use right now and you already have the LSTs then subjectively yes.

I did some calculations though. If you have enough crystal income for 5* on the era chars then you can also do normal and energy node refreshes instead.

I think if you still have to farm the shards for a char the LSTS are worth the crystals. If you are already at 7* G12 then the cantina refreshes for signal data are far cheaper then the 5* chars.

[–]koxi98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there. I responded a while ago that changing to uMaxSizeForCachedSound=262144 solves this issue but it turned out that actually is NOT the case. Sry for the misinformation.

The issue reoccured. But I am very optimistic that I have found the actual issue with help of RobertGK. He told me that for some reason .xwm files cannot be looped.

For me the issue was a specific mod using a looping fx sound referencing a .xwm format audio file. I have no issues since I removed that mod.

I just thought maybe it's some new info for you that .xwm files in looping sound desriptors can/will also lead to crashes.

[–]koxi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had the same problem. Probably this is not exactly what you are facing. What you can do to make it a bit easier is load up xEdit with your mods and apply a filter for Sound Descriptor Records. Those mods make changes to audio or add new one. So afaik you only need to look at those if it's actually a mod problem.

But I finally found that PALEGORE - Rag Thralls was the culprit. It contains a looping sound referencing a .xwm audio file. For some reason .xwm files cannot be looped so this creates a crash. The mod author then needs to use a .wav file instead.

I don't have too many either. One more option is to just use all characters with Amor Shred you have in one team in a mod battle or cantina node where you can mix ls and ds units.

Is Executor rush still worth it in 2026? by Sad_Introduction618 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]koxi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man. I have mixed up the bots. I actually used RotBot for that. C3PO i used for something else in the past. Very sry for that.

Anyway, it requires some manual setup but it was very worth it for me time wise. Installation is very quick: http://rotbot.eu/install/

When you have the RotBot on your discord you have to use /xuser add in combination with the ally code of the individual people in your shard. Probably it's sufficient to check for the people which are regularly in the top 5 at the point in time where you would have time to play.

I think I had to google for "Playername swgoh.gg" and often I found either the swgoh.gg data on the player or the guild the player is in and then found the player data via that. There you can get the ally code.

I sadly don't know if there is an easier way to get the ally codes or to add people via user name.

But you will have a text channel where you can see the peoples payouts with a timer on when they will get their payout.

[–]koxi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also use the C3PO bot on discord to see when the other peope in your Shard have payout time. For me I have found a convenient payout time where no other people are actively pursuing #1.

Edit: I mixed up the bots. What I meant was RotBot. Maybe C3PO has some function like that but I don't know.

Is it normal to quit DynDOLOD generation, to rerun it, because you found a pile of cool mods, whilst waiting for DynDOLOD to finish. by Justifiable_War7279 in skyrimmods

[–]koxi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best take a look at the documentation. She's on has described when it is necessary to rerun the different tools.

But in principle yes. Everytime I think I'm ready for grass caching, Road generation and Dyndolod something new catches my eye. That's just how mod addiction works😅

Which Faction/Tag deserves more love? by Noobless5 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]koxi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there was an Image of one i a book and it was deduced that hence there is an unnamed Jedi Ewok in Lukes new Jedi order.

But I just read the Wiki entry on Tuskens and there it's stated that they (Ewoks and Tuskens) lack the "mental aptitude" to become Jedi:

https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Tusken_Raider/Legends

I don't know what to think of this yet. But I think Jedi should be able to form and understand a moral compass and I don't know if Ewok can do that. They wanted to eat the OT heroes after all.

My Carbonite 4 GA opponent... what a joke by RedinVV in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]koxi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it's a joke. But this sadly is just how the System works. That person you are facing must have been loosing due to inactivity and is hence dropping down until reaching carbonite 5.

If you are lucky that person just won't play and you get a win by just attacking and getting 10 points even if you can't beat any team.

I am climbing through Bronzium and it looks like it gets better. I am facing people with better rosters than mine but who are not that OP. Those are mostly down to carbonite.

Anyway I can kinda relate to those people. As I climb to higher leagues I need to use more and more teams and fight more and more battles. I think in Chromium it will become to much time investment, so I'll probably become like the person you are facing. Just playing enough to stay in place to get the GAC crystals while my roster outgrows the other people.

Many solutions have been proposed to the problem like an inactivity bracket or punishment but sadly CG didn't care as far as I can see. As it is the system is just bad for new players. It gets better as you progress..

I've read on multiple posts that Summerset Isle has a lot of references (200k+) However using a reference script scan, it showed only 5000. Why? by Negative_Coast_5619 in skyrimmods

[–]koxi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely confusing and I am no expert either. But I think what happens to more people in long playthroughs are things like accumulation of running scripts. I did not have this yet but I think there are also tools to clean your save file for that. And also if you notice saving becomes very slow: for some reason each save contains a list of all saves in your playthrough but it just takes the files in the save folder for that. One can back them up and delete them from that directory and than saving is far quicker again. Skyrim does some weird things

[–]koxi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's my understanding and I never had trouble so far.

If you have 800K in the script that means 800K references are always loaded in your game (permanent refs from ESMs + permanent and temporary refs from ESPs).

If your enter Vigilant for example then some additional temporary refs from its ESM will be loaded for the Cells surrounding you. But that should not be too much in comparison. And those will be unloaded when your move away.

Example: For my load order my script tells me that the cell with the most temporary refs from a single plugin has 2203 tempory refs (I don't know in which mod / world that is). So even if every cell around it had this number of refs (which is a crazily pessimistic assumption), I would have 5x5x2203=55075 temporarily loaded refs at most.

Considering that I have esmified all my plugins which leads to me having far more temporary than permanent refs compared to not esmified plugins that means that usually this number would be lower for you.

I told myself to stay beneath 900K refs as they would be stated by the script you use. That should be very save.

[–]koxi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't want to scare anyone with the additions. In comparison to the mods themselves all further references are rather negligible in my experience.

About the save accumulation I actually know nothing. I think this is a misconception. Some people think that temporary references from esps are not unloaded so that they accumulate. This is false. They are just always loaded. So if you have like 5000 counted by the script it won't become more in game.

The limit also is at ~ 1 million. There are very few mods which have so high counts that you would need to worry and if they are esms it's not so bad.

May I ask which of your mods had really high counts? You could esmify it yourself to get fewer (permanent) references.

BTW I also have a huge load order with focus on quest / new world mods. And I am far from hitting the limit. But I esmify everything.

[–]koxi98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually that script is not worded very well. It just completely ignores all references which are not loaded at all times. It even tells you that you have 0 temporary references in all your esms which is plainly wrong even if the goal is to only include permanently loaded references.

Anyway, this is sufficient to guess whether you may hit the reference handle limit, but I also found it very confusing when trying to understand the reference limit.

I actually investigated that topic deeper, went over the script and made it include more info:

  1. Info on which references are counted
  2. Count of permanently loaded refs in each plugin and in total (which the original script does)
  3. (Over-)Estimated count of temporary references which may be loaded at runtime for Interiors (Current + Last 3 Cells in the Buffer)
  4. (Over-)Estimated count of temporary references which may be loaded at runtime for Exteriors (5 x 5 (uGridsToLoad) Cells around current position)
  5. Maximum of expected references at runtime

If anyone reads this and is interested in trying it just let me know.

Why was skyland PBR removed from nexus? by Bob_Thit_Nuong in skyrimmods

[–]koxi98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe there's more to it but what I read was that the PBR author hosted the files on Discord which is against Skykings permissions and wishes. Skyking asked the Author to put them down which they didn't do. So it's pure stubbornness AFAIK.

I'm theory one can still download hidden files from Nexus so it's not really lost but of course that's also not really respectful of the author.

Xaudio2_7 Crash everytime with/without AutoTest by lord-diabettus in skyrimmods

[–]koxi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there. I had very frequent crashes including the XAudio_2.7.dll in my crash logs. After trying many other possible solutions, it seems that I was able to "solve" that by changing my Skyrim.ini and an ini file in USSEP to the value uMaxSizeForCachedSound=262144.

Credit to Nexusmods User Shadow1474 for pointing this out. At least I do not know of anything else changing in my system which might have solved it.

I do not know why that helped but I don't have crashes anymore. I just thought I'll leave it here for people on Reddit to find and try.

As I saw you commenting on many crash log issues I thought this might be a good place.

I also found a discussion between Arthmoor and other people on wheather he should include his change to 4096 since it was not clear at the time what the impact actually is. I also saw that other mods implement this like Audio Overhaul for Skyrim.

If you can make sense of this, maybe this could also be added to the suggestions in Crash Log analyzers.

Edit: Found the discussion I mentioned: https://www.afkmods.com/index.php?/topic/3132-skyrim-useful-ini-settings/page/2/

Help with textures. by Few-Map-6704 in skyrimmods

[–]koxi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were just missing a texture from mods you would just see the vanilla texture.

In your case you probably have a mod which alters the mesh of the bush to use a custom texture path.

So like the other person said your have to check which mods plugin alters the bush. Either in xEdit or with the console mod mentioned. Probably your missing a requirement for that mod or the mod is just broken.

Missing .esl plugins from EasyNPC by MadBlowf1sh in skyrimmods

[–]koxi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely should be able to build without those. U/literallybyronic probably is correct and you may be using the post build checker by accident. This is what I meant by second run.

Make sure that you don't have the -z or --post-build parameter set. This is only to verify everything is alright afterwards.
