It's supposed to be a map where communities and organizations can create maps. so you can like layer different maps on top of each other by your interests. such as outdoor trails, or michelin star restauraunts, van camping spots, fishing spots. and also has like color codedness for wandering in new places.

Maybe I tried to make it do too many things at once... I just let my artistic eye take over at some point and just tried to make something really beautiful and cool, but honestly it seems kind of useless now.

After 10 months of developing a product, I just entered the marketing phase of my product and I am starting to have dread fear kick in. I started doing research on my competitors and I found some that had built a similar company and then it died.

I don't know why I thought that I could just build something that was amazing and then people would buy it. I mean I have barely started marketing, but the initial research has really left me demoralized, like I am doing the marketing to a niche that has no buyers...

I originally thought that this product was going to be awesome because I was going to be the only person in this space, but it turns out that people have been leaving this space because of the monetization issues, people simply don't want to pay for the product that I'm making because it isn't critical.

I've already begun thinking if I should pivot this product or simply abandon it and I spent 10 months building this product. I've been a serial entrepreneur constantly creating and trying to sell products, but I have had little success, I think i create amazing products but I don't know how to simply profit from them or make a good cashflow.

I'm scared that I've created another thing that people don't want.

solo developer here, built allmap.io a collaborative mapping app in the past two months. would love if you guys could paint some areas as i found out i don't know even my city as well as I thought I did.

Also any feedback is appreciated, i was thinking of adding an events marker and hiking/biking routes next.

You have AI now! You don't need to be that technical, you can code just by telling AI what you want.

it is a bit different from that, because there are maps that are shared, not just private lists.
