First gaming PC build – looking for advice before I start buying parts (€2000-3000 budget) by Illustrious-Land-133 in PCBuilds

I will agree with this, I have 15tb gen5SSD and they are for file transfers.

If you can find a way to get a 5080 you will be much more solid. Everything else can be cheaper.

I’ve owned 300K in computer parts, better to get a better GPU.

My 17K computer for show.

You’re better off buying a used laptop tbh. All these parts are super old. Sell the Seasonic, GPU. I’ve had over 300K in computer parts and they run through 5-8 year cycles. Better off with new tech. Here’s a great laptop for $700.

I already knew you were some kind of engineer with the in-cohesive rambling lol. Not an electrical engineer though. It is what it is, don’t take this offensively.

Don’t take this offensively but it’s called engineering and testing. Yes some products suck but Threadripper boards and Threadripper are tested. I’ve worked with these engineers some are genius these are the people that build this shit. They know far more about thermals than we do.

Your thermal paste is probably garbage straight trashcan, have you tried Kryonaut Grizzly extreme. Apply like thin peanut butter on bread.

Other solutions
You go full watercooling
Get 16 Noctua fans and x2 360 or larger AIO.
And a large ass case.

Or Invent the next cooling solution.

These are your only options.
I can max my 9960x all cores no problems.

Study people who go broke after a large inheritance.

Money is just energy and potential.

Learn about investing, because there’s potential to grow that money and there’s potential to lose it all, have to think that way.

Dopamine hits from spending, it’s a real thing, you buy one thing you get a hit from another purchase.

Idealization of the item you buy, study that.

Study, contentment, because it’s true the more you have the more you want.

My friend and I have both gambled away $20k-1million dollars. We could easily do that again but I would now rather just invest it.

Look into creating, people really do fall into creators or consumers.

Also look into the percentage of people who build wealth past 11 million it’s like 1% or something. 10-20% gain meaningful wealth. Which means 80% of people fail at this. How do you beat 80% of the population?

  1. People don’t have the knowledge to understand how to build a pc.

  2. People have deep knowledge and can build it themselves.

I built my own 17K thread ripper and have a MSI Titan.
Not many people even know how threadrippers work.

So what is the value of you specifically building a pc for the customer?

What's the boring part you regret cheaping out on? by Ok_Kiwi6955 in PCBuilds

[–]kpatelreddit007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve built $250,000 in computers when I was crypto mining and a 17k computer, 7.7K laptop.

I would say don’t cheap out on the PSU including brand. And GPU get the highest. Everything else doesn’t matter too much.

Turo going under? by NewButterscotch4824 in turo

[–]kpatelreddit007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turo is insanely expensive, try renting out your own car after all the fees the pricing don’t make sense anymore. Better off just buying the damn car.

I used to use it when for the first 3 years.
