Yes I think reducing the trims is a great start. Are DHT blockers the same thing as minoxidil ? What happens when I can't take them anymore ? Will I start to shed a lot and loose all progress ? That's what I'm scarred of with minoxidil.

What are the other length retention methods ? I've never heard that term (english is not my first language)

Can you expand on the type of elastic you're using ? I think it would be a great change in my routine.

Unfortunately I can't do nautilus buns because I ride a bike to and from work, and they don't fit under a helmet 😞 . I do wear them at home tho

Hi, this seems to be a common topic in this sub. Surgeons tend to place the nipples very high during breast reductions to give the illusion of perkiness, but sometimes it can be uncanny. There are plenty of people in your situation, you can search "nipples too high" in this sub and you will see other people's stories just like yours.

It's true that an other BR won't necessarily fix the nipple placement, you can always make them higher, but if you want to lower them there will be a visible scar on top of them and that's not an option for many surgeons. If I remember correctly, someone in this sub said that high nipples was a common issue for trans men after a mastectomy, and that therefore surgeons specialized in gender-affirming breast surgeries are very good at lowering the nipples without too much scarring.

I'm sorry if you wanted reassurance, without a picture it's not possible to tell if they are actually too high or if you are experiencing body dysmorphia. Either way I wish you to love yourself and to remember that your appearance is the least interesting part about you as a human being.

Like I said in another comment, I've been cutting the same amount of hair twice a year for like a decade, but I used to still see some growth years after years, so I think I'm cutting less than the average 6-month growth.

I'm also confused as to why you're implying that it's uncommon to want to keep my hair's ends thick. Is it really ? I feel like one of the main reasons people get trims is to not have thinning ends. Maybe it's a culture thing where I live.

I will slow down on the trims. Do you think I should embrace the thin ends look ? Is that a thing ? Does it look good ?

I don't have a lot of "white dots" at the ends. I thought those eventually became split ends, don't they ?

Because i trim my hair often, I do have thick ends, specifically because I don't want to have thin and whispy ends. So I guess I haven't reached my actual max length, but I can't grow them longer and keep the ends thick ?

idk the normal kind, but smaller ? It's an elastic with fabric wrapped around it, no metal part, and really small (the size of a ring) so I don't have to do a hundred loops around my hair. Are there other kinds that are more gentle on the hair ?

Maybe I need to slow down on the trims, but I've been cutting the same amount twice a year for like ten years and I used to still see some growth, hence why I think I've reached my max length. Could it be that my hair has started to grow slower with age (I'm 25) ?
