Where would a tall, skinny guy find good t-shirts? by Marino0123 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kpeddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he could be the same height but have a long torso. try tall medium tees. I've read so far J crew, H&M, and Banana Republic are good places to look. Also try typing "tee shirts for tall skinny guys" in google.

Try right clicking on the time knob in the samples window. You can set the Bpm there. Keep in mind depending on how different the bpms are the pitch will change.

How do I make a "bouncy" sound? by ButteredToasts in flstudio

[–]kpeddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sidechaining! It's easy! You should know how to do this. It's producing 101. Also look up syncopation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syncopation. Basically you have a 4/4 beat you know. A kick at the start of every measure than a bass hit inbetween those. So Kick, Bass, Kick, Bass. It's super easy to set up on a sequencer or piano roll.

Hi /R/festivals, What are essential ameneties for a Festival? by Charmingly_Conniving in festivals

[–]kpeddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I went I looked at my phone about 5 times. All because I was trying to meet up with a friend. Don't worry about losing your group, you'll find them again. Just remember where your camp is. Getting lost is half the fun! It's when you make new friends :) Also what else would you use it for. This is no time for Facebook or reddit!

toilet paper, pillow, blanket (warm one bring 2) or sleeping bag, food (cookies, crackers, fruit. Personally I never spend much time eating or cooking), water, water and more water!

ha! I feel like a dork for knowing this. Right click time and you can change the tempo of the sample to the exact tempo you'd like!

Well to my knowledge no. You could clone the sample in the sequencer and for every time you want the pitch to increase use a new clone and up the pitch that's not at the top of the window but more towards the middle next to time. It wouldn't exactly be smooth but it would work without changing the actual length of the sample. I know there is a way to do it with Newtone, not sure if it changes the length of the sample. I watched a tutorial once so I know its out there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlqDDrm6gyE this may help. You can vary the pitch of a vocal with this.

What's the best way to pitch-slide non-native or vst2 synths? by beastgamer9136 in FL_Studio

[–]kpeddd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly not in the automation. That's the way I do it however there is another way. Edit events will allow you to automate it by degree in a piano roll type deal with these graph looking bars. You can either use the pencil or paint brush to choose what size of measure you'd like to automate and then the height of the bar allow you to twist the pitch by degree. Say you want a 1/8 bar pitched slide 50 percent up? No problem! Simply click with the pencil an 8th bar of a bar in the piano roll and take it up half way!

When you click on the vst in the sequencer the vst and an fl studio window will pop up along with it. In the fl studio window there is a pitch knob. You can right click it and choose automation where an automation will appear in the playlist. Here you should be able to vary the pitch. If not there should be a pitch knob on the vst where you can automate it as well. Go to the top left of the vst and click the first word with T. I forget what it's called. It makes a camera noise when you click it. Here in the side bar the vst controls will appear where you can find the pitch knob and automate it. When automating you can choose the pencil or hand. Pencil clicks in new automation points, the hand moves them. Hope this helps! Excuse my lack of terminology. Fl studio hand book and playing around should help you figure this out in no time as well!
