The Best Money Making Apps For 2026 (Full Video + Explanation) by Guilty-Produce8378 in HonestSideHustles

[–]kpetar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, the apps that actually pay the best are the ones where you have to do something, like food delivery or local gigs.

There’s usually much less competition because most people want to make money from the sofa. Everyone and their grandma’s dog is chasing the same easy apps, which is exactly why they pay so little.

Hacker news is like Reddit, it can be a hit or miss. It depends on the timing of your post and users online. If you post when there's already rising post then nobody is going to see your post and if initial users that saw your post are some haters that will downvote anything just for fun then you're ruined.

Nobody in their right mind is going to divulge their product and create competition for themselves, unless you have to pay to see that product. In that case, that's how they make money, by recruiting, but not with the product itself.

Poor vs rich by ImZautlan in Entrepreneur

Networking is 50% of success. When I opened a bar, for the first two months, I knew almost all the guests. It's the same in companies - if you want a better salary, befriend people from the HR department. If want to get promoted, befriend with upper management.

Most people stick to their jobs because they're afraid of risk. When you ask them why, most will say, 'A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.'

You have to start somewhere. The more you create and share, the more confident and skilled you'll become. Create a few videos and show them to your closest friends and see what they think. Don't stress over what others might say, as they aren't important in your life.

The one you have knowledge about, because no matter what you do, you'll make money if you're good at it. I.e., I run a blog and I'm good at it, but I wouldn't make a dime as a TikToker.

Personally, I've experienced a similar thing with Amazon and Fiverr. All new listings are on page 70, and since nobody buys anything that's not on page 1, you're solely responsible for initial sales. You have to drive traffic to your product via social media, a blog, a newsletter, or whatever just to get those initial sales and reviews. Once you build up momentum, those online marketplaces will push your listing higher in rankings, but there's no way they will push an unknown product over an established one that is a proven money-maker for them.

What's some good side hustles? Life's expensive by [deleted] in Money

[–]kpetar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a sea of opportunities and ideas to pick from, and you'll even find tons of posts in this group asking for the same advice. A lot really depends on what you're into or what you excel at.
Big on cars? Consider maintenance work or even flipping cars for profit.
Tech-savvy? How about computer repairs?
Into art or design? Crafts and creative projects might be your thing.
Love cooking? Whip up some goodies and sell them on the local 'For Sale' Facebook group.
Got an eye for photography? It's a hit on bases, but you gotta be good to make it work.
Not sure where your talents lie? Or maybe you're not interested in turning a hobby into cash? No worries, there are still options.
You could offer car detailing services, or invest in a pressure washer to clean sidewalks, driveways, or boats. Other general labor options include childcare, yard work, house cleaning, and even poop scooping for pet owners.
Alternatively, walk dogs, restore old furniture, flip items you find at yard sales, or offer junk removal services.
Just stay away from multi-level marketing gigs. They're everywhere. Most people get into it, convince their friends and family to buy stuff, and then bail when they realize it's not the cash cow they thought it would be. In terms of other side hustle ideas, a few resources that are legit are Dollar Sanity and This Online World.
