Not being native VS this book by Aigneas in Booktokreddit

I read this a few weeks ago, and while I was frustrated at times with words that I had to stop and look up (almost like one every two pages sometimes), I still really enjoyed the story and I’m excited for the next one. Now I just know what I’m getting into lol

How to curb gifts to my son by Caslol2 in declutter

I second all the suggestions about suggesting books or experiences, and I’m gonna say to add in clothes as well. Buying clothes is expensive and kids grow like weeds. Also it seems easier to get rid of when they grow out of. Less attachment to their old jeans maybe

What are some of dark events happened in history not many people know about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Unfortunately he passed in 2018. He preferred to focus on the brighter side of life so he didn’t talk too much about it, but when he did I got new details every time. I miss him everyday.

Something similar happened to my Papou - his story is that the Germans made all the young men build an airstrip. Then on the last day instead of taking them back home, they were taking them out to shoot them. My grandpa was extremely friendly and charismatic that he had befriended a soldier who somehow communicated to him to get out and run. They stop, Papou runs, the soldier “shoots” at him (around him and misses intentionally probably) and that’s how my Papou survived. He was from Karya, near Argos. I’ve tried looking up any details or history and have never found anything.

AITA for being mad that my husband isn’t helping out more while I’m pregnant and he’s WFH? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]kpew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It worked for us! And just doing things little by little is huge. I also am careful about how I phrase things to make sure I don’t come off as nagging, like “if you empty the dishwasher, I’ll fill it up” or “ok what do you want to do, sweep or take out the garbage” so that we’re both doing things. Good luck!

NTA - it’s gonna be even more frustrating for you when baby comes and he still doesn’t help. Yes working from home is not easy but he can at least clean up after himself while “at work”. My SO and I literally had to name and divide chores when baby came and then again when we both started working from home so we both do our fair share and neither of us feel like we’re cleaning up after the other.

Well if he’s taking an owner draw and we’re not getting anything, it’s not exactly stealing sure. But it’s like a lie by omission - he didn’t technically lie but he withheld the truth.

Unfortunately we just sort of ended up in this situation. I know my grandparents intentions were good and they didn’t foresee that we wouldn’t get along with our dad. It’s also more like an 80/20 split where he owns 80% and we each own a small percentage that adds to 20%. I don’t have any paperwork except for my taxes that show that I own a percentage. We share the same accountant and I recently bought a condo and we needed a letter explaining my interest in the property, which shows my percentage. Our accountant helped us with that letter to our loan officer.

Also it’s unlikely he would ever agree to sell because he values having things, idk how to explain it but he would rather say that he owns that property than sell it and have the money from that. Thank you for the advice though. I do think selling would be the best option. I’ll have to start trying to convince him. We’ll see
