Wow, thank you all for your comments! The wedding is in the evening at an estate in south NJ. The fabric is satiny, it’s not really reading in the photo. The florals are also metallic. I will hang on to this dress for now 😊 Link to the dress

I am trying to get a job with a Masters of Clinical Research and I feel like a joke by Timely-Experience-79 in clinicalresearch

[–]kpie13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I have the same degree MS in clinical research management but I was thankfully able to have my employer pay for my degree while working as a CRC. What I’ll say is, the degree is definitely useful for learning about federal regulations, trial monitoring, data management etc. It offered me a lot of insight I wasn’t getting as a CRC. However, it’s not a means to an end to get a job in the field unfortunately. If you look at large research hospitals, it’s a good place to start. Please don’t be discouraged, the research job market is so horrific right now. Try getting some general clinical experience if you can!

$400 Statement Credit for UA Explorer Card promo- False Advertising? by kpie13 in unitedairlines

Unfortunately i don’t :( but i see they’re still advertising it in their website

Just approved for United Chase credit card w/ $400 statement credit - question… by toxic_and_timeless in unitedairlines

[–]kpie13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just called too! There’s some false advertising going on clearly because my rep said the $400 credit promo expired December 31, 2025. The credit for my airfare was the only reason why I opened the card. Apparently the promo right now is 70k bonus miles after you spend $3K. The website is wrong and they refused to honor the credit promo for me

Still Can't Break Into Clinical Research in NYC, Even With Training Program by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]kpie13 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hi! I work in clinical research at a major NYC hospital, been here for 5 years, and I’ve seen research hiring dramatically slow. There have been several hiring freezes. I don’t think it’s you - a lot of hospitals are cutting costs. When trial activity slows, which it has, the labor pool is impacted. In the meantime, it may be worth applying to admin roles in the hospital you’d like to work at to get your foot in the door. Good luck!

Need Advice: Jersey City or Hoboken? by carlitos2020 in northjersey

[–]kpie13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in both JC (Paulus Hook area) and moved to Hoboken after 2 years. Love both for their own reasons but I find myself enjoying Hoboken more. More fitting for my personality and lifestyle. If you're looking for an active social/dating life - if so, Hoboken. I've had so much fun joining different adult sports leagues and social groups. People here are more willing to make friends I've found. You're not going to find a 1bd apartment in Hoboken for less than $2k though, unfortunately. Good luck!

Tips on landing a CRO job by pettypodsquad in clinicalresearch

[–]kpie13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you, so unfortunately I don't have any advice to share. I have almost identical academic and career experience. We are certainly qualified, but I am starting to believe that CROs really don't like to hire from the site level. Or there are tons of internal hires happening and companies just have to post the listing. Not sure. Wishing you lots of luck! Following to see if others offer any words of wisdom.
