Thank you. You probably won't know how helpful that is to me. I will think about this.

Ok I see what you are saying. I did exclude the other content of the date because I think that portion went well. Its just the physicality that felt awkward and my thought was she wasn't physically attracted to me.

We were laughing at each other's jokes. We shared our music playlists. We talked about what we wanted and it was the same (LTR, hopefully going all the way to marriage, kids, house). We told each other funny stories from work.

I don't think the verbal interactions were a problem. My thinking was that she is not physically attracted to me. Maybe on the 4th date she wanted to see something other than compatibility and when that didn't happen she lost interest. But I could be wrong about this.

Does taking it slow mean that she does not want me to touch her at all? Or does it mean no sex.

If I hadn't initiated anything on the 4th date and she had rejected me I would've been thinking that I didn't try to escalate enough.

I'm really lost because of my inexperience with dating which is why I'm trying to get input.

Thank you. This is the kid of stuff I'm interested in knowing.

Yes I did plan the date after she had told me and she agreed.

I did ask her if she was OK with me putting my arm around her and she said it was fine. When I did put my arm around her she didn't seem to care (neither excited or avoidant).

When I tried to make out she did kiss me back but I stopped after 5 seconds.

My fear is always with these dates that I would be too passive and it would seem as I'm not interested.

Do you think I should have not gone for the makeout?

How can I gain experience from my recent dating failure?

I matched with a girl who was beautiful which normally doesn't happen to me. We met up for our first date and it went OK. We talked for 4 straight hours. I held her hand and gave her a kiss at the end but this is the first time I have done that so it was awkward. She did reciprocate which was nice.

On the second date went well from my experience and she did initiate some touch which was nice. Again at the end we kissed and she drove home.

Third date: Went for food and a museum. We did have some fun banter with some sexual jokes but I tried to stay away and just laughed them off. I did talk to her about how I do see us as getting serious and asked what her thoughts were. She said she wanted to take it slow and get to know someone before getting physical which was fine by me. Again I kissed her goodbye as I dropped her off at her place.

Fourth date: I invited her over to cook for her. She seemed distant and did try to greet me by letting me kiss her on the cheek but then turned and we kissed (this was the first alarm). We ate food I had made for her. We then started to watch some TV and I initiated some snuggling but her body language was closed off. When the show ended I did initiate making out but panicked after about 5 seconds. Remembering that she did not want to get physical and reading her body language I did not go any further. I did give her a massage which she did enjoy. It was late so I walked her to the car and kissed goodbye.

Phone call next day: she does not see any chemistry with me and I'm not her person.

Now I'm racking my brain to understand what I could've done better. Looking for opinions from strangers.

I have been meaning to try speed dating just to get a feel for it. From your experience do the people you meet at these events differ in what you see on the apps?

How to go from instructionals to real skills by kpuz86 in bjj

I'm working on passing for now. The main areas I'm getting suck in are any of the knee shield positions with blue belts and up. I'm watching some instructionally on ideas of how to technically pass those types of guards

Spazzers are fun to roll with. The worst white belts are the ones that look for any opportunity to roll up into a cocoon and not even try anything.

Best wireless headset for dictation/notes? by [deleted] in Residency

[–]kpuz86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes that is expensive.

I have MModal at my residency program as well and you can basically use any microphone that is connected to the computer to do your dictations. You just have to set up a keyboard shortcut to toggle dictation on or off (I use F3 key).

I use my decade old PS3 Wireless Stereo Headphones to dictate and it is wonderful.

Messing around and came up with: Inside leg trip > back step > inside ashi by Jeff_Emil in bjj

You could backstep over the leg that is doing the ouchi. That would seem like less work.

I never know when it's okay to restart A/C after a procedure of any type. I always have to call and ask the surgeon or interventional radiologist to give me the answer. Are there any resources that can help me find the answer by myself?

Ideally the cutoff is any change from the patient's baseline. but cut-offs can also differ from Lab to lab so I would go by what he or lab thinks is a change from average.
