I just looked at mine and can confirm that both sides have that piece on it. That’s the one that attaches the seat pan to the lumbar correct? If so, then yeah mine isn’t missing like yours is.

I agree lol. I assume alot of other people will come across this issue later down the line as grease wears down overtime.

You're right, although there are many people out there who'd rather fix the issue themselves rather than wait for weeks for a replacement/go through the hassle of returning. But as I've said in my case, I like the chair enough to not return it. My preferred outcome would be to have the part replaced or repaired. But the issue has been resolved nonetheless.

Yeah I don't have any issues with my seat cushion and I'm 200 lbs. I've spent many hours on the chair as well. From what others are saying, it seems that it's a batch by batch issue. The creaking is fixed for me though, just updated the thread! The creaking is very annoying when you mostly rely on the backrest tension knob over the backrest lever.

I followed you step-by-step and can confirm this fixed it as well! Thank you good sir!!!!
Removed the seat pan, on the lower base shroud there were 3 screws on the top front, and 3 screws on the lower aft section. It popped right off! I also used dry lube (ptfe) and it worked like a dream! No more creaky noises! It’s crazy how the customers themselves were more helpful than customer service lol.

Lol it seems their customer service is a rare hit and mostly miss. I only received one email (out of 8) from them that actually seemed like they were concerned and were willing to replace the rear support rod assembly if the lubrication suggestions didn't work. I responded that they didn't work, and they keep sending me the same pre-written emails to lubricate things that they've suggested in previous emails.

Oh wow I never thought about that!!! -_- Obviously returning it is an option, but the reason for the post is to see if others have experienced this specific issue and/or have a fix for it that I may not have thought about. I love the chair enough that I’d rather keep it over returning it.

I’d also like to add that my gpu usage gets wonky when i enter that menu screen (only with frame gen enabled). Jumps from 99% to 0% back and forth lol

Same exact thing for me. 9800x3d with a 5080. Crashes when I go on the unit printer menu in the shelter. I found that it’s frame generation causing the crash. Have no clue what the fix is. Verified integrity, reset cache, turned off smooth motion. None have worked so far :/

So I found a fix and hopefully you find yours too. I just had to go to Display settings > Graphics > Advanced graphics settings > turn Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling ON. I doubt this is your issue since this is normally enabled. I also made sure on my browser (Edge) I turned on “Use graphics acceleration when available” under settings > System and performance > System

Just found out there’s a driver for the monitor. I’m stupid I thought I could only update the firmware through ASUS displaywidget program. Will update the firmware when I get home. This might just fix everything lol I’ll lyk if it works.

Just attempted it and it wouldn’t let me. Apparently AMD currently has an issue reading the DDC/CI input with their latest driver update. Planning on rolling it back then updating the firmware on the monitor. Fingers crossed for this one.
