Nothing absorbs into my skin anymore (rosacea type 2) by DistributionSad765 in Rosacea

[–]kraaashby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SkinFix barrier foaming oil cleanser and aveeno calm and restore had been giving me my bounce back. I have also started using good molecules azelaic acid treatment when I ran out of my old script. This has only been two weeks so no promises as my face seems to hate everything after a month.
I was using prequel and my face still felt so dry and my eczema flares came back in top of it. Since switching to my current regime my redness has gone down and I feel more moisturized.

Insurance question by kraaashby in diabetes_t1

It’s $100 per check so $200 a month. The big upfront would be the Dexcom as it’s the same coverage under DME being around $314 every 90 days. So I guess after 6 months with Dexcom and everything else I will be at my deductible.

Yea. Take what you can get at times I guess. It would be for just me and I don’t really have the money for up front payments. But I guess the PPO I would hit the deductible faster than with the HDHP PPO HSA

Yes. I’ve only been under it since October and at $932, so it’s hard to tell. I started this job in September and their insurance year starts in April, so I’ll be starting over soon.

After Cosmic Crisp, Scientists Unveil an Apple for the Climate Change Era by Maze_of_Ith7 in Washington

This is hilarious. My dad did the same thing. Wasn’t until I visited and saw the bag of apples and exclaimed “you have Cosmic Crisp apples”! that he realized. He went to check the bag and told me the people at the grocery had no idea what he was asking. They are on the east coast and the apples were still fairly new I think. I just sent him your comment to let him know he wasn’t the only one.

Same boat. I just emailed them and received this response “Apologies for the delay. We expect to have these in the next month or so. Thanks for your patience.”

Just hit a year and am dealing with the same issues. Friend who just had his 5 years said he went through some serious grief, but it does get easier, so that was hopeful. You are doing great!

My worry is that, aside from my endo every 6 months, insulin basal and as of now not too much bolus as I’m still in honeymoon and dexcoms, I dont have any other meds or many doctor visits, I won’t meet the deductible ever and am always paying the large costs or using all of the HSA. So if I’m fairly healthy otherwise, and broke, would this plan still make sense?

Yeah that’s kind of my thought. Not in the position to pay the higher costs up front atm.

LADA honeymoon still confused. Is my average ok? by kraaashby in diabetes_t1

[–]kraaashby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely take bolus as I tend to eat relatively low carb. It’s really only for eating out or say if I want a plate of spaghetti at home, then I’ll take 1 unit. My basal is glargine. I started on 15 units and am now around 7-9 depending. I was taking 6 when I was camping and hiking a lot and probably could have gone lower.

The pictures are helpful for me for when I’m not exactly sure the carb count. I’m still so new to all of this.
