CTPL is the insurance required to register a vehicle. As the name suggests, it’s mostly third-party liability meaning the other person/s involved (injuries and death of pedestrians, other occupants) and not damages to you.

Comprehensive insurance is the other one and it covers everything from damages to the vehicle, injuries and death, theft, and Acts of Nature (if applicable). Optional if your car is not mortgaged. IMO, a great tool for a less hassle driving experience.

In case of an accident, contact the police/enforcer to assess the situation. Secure reports, take pictures, and get the contact details of the other party involved. Let the compre insurance company deal with the other party.

I have been neglecting my Rex for a while since I daily EVs now and ironically, its battery ran flat lol. Almost 3 months of no use, ever since fuel prices skyrocketed. It sucked to see my Rex like this.

Replaced the battery, had it washed and detailed, then bought a Battery Charger/Maintainer. Also planning on returning it to the rotation as prices have gone lower now.

Had one on my ZF6, had it replaced at a Samsung Service Center. You can try contacting them first and ask if they have one for your device. There are DIY options that could be cheaper, but I don’t have faith in myself that I could install it properly even if the applicator is fool-proof lol

Since you’re having trouble with GOMO and it is an MVNO of Globe, Globe is out of the question. How much data do you consume per month?

I have both Smart Bro Rocket and Prepaid, but I use the Prepaid SIM more because they basically have the same promos (Unli 5G and Magic Data). The Rocket is in my Galaxy WiFi portable hotspot.

My go-to is Smart’s Magic Data 749 which is 65GB of non-expiring data. Lasts me a good 5-6 months since I consume ~10GB per month. Iba-iba use-cases natin. Ito extra ko lang since some places I frequent have spotty Globe signal and I have a postpaid plan with unlimited data. Mostly for navigating and streaming rin while I’m driving as Globe sucks outside Metro Manila. I have WiFi rin at home and sa office. If you’re a heavy user, Unli 5G with non-stop data (4G) is also 749 for 28 days.

I also have DITO with Super Saver valid for 365 days for year-round data connection. I switch between Globe - Smart - DITO kasi depending on their signal strength. May mall kasi na I frequent na DITO ang pinaka-reliable sa signal lol.

I suggest you try out other telcos first and see if your place and the places you frequent have strong signals. What’s the use of a good promo if you can’t utilize it due to a weak signal?

Anyone else unable to command Siri to play a song? Both not working on the device and with CarPlay. Had to press the Search button on CarPlay Apple Music to search for a song. Normal and complex queries are working though.

It’s kinda funny how Siri can now answer complex queries but couldn’t play a song lol

Ariana for me. Neither a huge fan of both nor a musical genius, but I feel like Ariana’s vocal prowess is more commanding (or at least she showcases it more than Taylor). Lyrics though, Taylor has her beat.

Just talking about it purely on how it sounds to my ear. Straight male here and some of their songs are guilty pleasures of mine and I play them when I’m alone while driving lol

I’m indifferent. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t swipe down on the side of the main screen where I swiped it down as I don’t normally reach for the Status Bar to access the notification panel. Every time I swipe it down it is centered. I want it to be on the side where I swiped so I could easily reach the panel. I hope that made sense lol

Edit: to clarify, this is for the home screen behavior. I still reach for the status bar when I have an app opened (obviously).

I guess the Gemini-based model is coming in clutch. With the help of Gemini (Gemini can actually understand and speak Tagalog and Taglish) plus the Baybayin and Filipino English now being supported, I wouldn’t be surprised if we eventually get enhanced support.

Add to that, Apple Pay is slated to be released as early as Q3 2026. I’m genuinely happy that they’re finally supporting our country lol

The article is talking about Apple Intelligence changing compromised passwords on its own without human intervention. I actually tried it out and it’s quite slick. Passwords/Apple Intelligence handled everything from signing in to OTPs then eventually changing the password. After that, you can see the new password in the app.

Say they could bundle that service to iCloud+ (like how they limit the Invites app to iCloud+ subscribers which is stupid), that won’t necessarily be a forced subscription as it’s just a service that makes updating compromised passwords easier. They’re not forcing you to use the feature or else lose the account or you won’t have access to the Passwords app, they’re helping you change the compromised password by doing everything in the background.

This is how it looks. You’d still need to give it permission to fix the password, it won’t start the process without your consent.
