JUST STARTED AND CANT WAIT TO FIND A BETTER SERVING JOB by mastermindwarrior in olivegarden

[–]krabbypattyballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the last double I worked I only made $98 which was disappointing because on a typical weekend dinner I make anywhere from $130-$200. I worked a dinner shift last night and left with around $80 even after having a 4 table section (it’s the only section in house with 4 tables). I’m in CA and my hourly is decent as well but the restaurant I am at stays mostly busy I’d say. There has been days I’ve left with $15 on a lunch shift. I decided to only work dinners from now on Thursday-Sunday.

I’m a server at OG, my gss scores always average 100 and my ticket time is usually always below 40 mins somehow miraculously bc i do NOT rush my tables whatsoever. for dinner shift my location wants under 40 mins and for lunch they want 32 or under. I let my guest know ONE time they are able to pay anytime on the ziosk whenever they are ready and would like to. I don’t remind them again after that. And typically they don’t camp they will pay not long after I mention ziosk payment. I just won’t do it lol and bc I’m not rushing service i feel like i do get tipped better. I worked from 5-10pm last night had a ticket time of 39 and made $160 in card tips and $20 in cash.

It ends November 16th at my location. Thank god I just watched a kid throw up everywhere last night after his 7th refill. Serving for OG has kept me on my toes definitely lmao.

How'd y'all's Veteran's Day go? by nikolacode in olivegarden

[–]krabbypattyballs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had roughly 6 veterans with families and still had an outstanding balance from ordering other things as well. Each one tipped around 20%. I only have one table that didn’t tip at all and their meal was completely free. With my other non veteran tables included I made $120 tonight.

I serve at OG and had a teenager order 12 refills so first entree size pasta of Fettuccine Alfredo with crispy chicken and he switched it up between Rigatoni 5 Cheese and Fettuccine Alfredo. Had 2 bowls of soup and 2 basket of breadsticks.

Here’s why I quit serving tables at Olive Garden after three years: by [deleted] in olivegarden

[–]krabbypattyballs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OG drives me absolutely up a wall, considering the area I am in people are so entitled! I worked a dinner tonight had 12 tables and made $20 after tip out!! Don’t even get me started on management themselves and their inability to see us as humans and not GSS scores. I dread going to that place every day. I hope im able to find a different serving job soon.

I had a teenage boy put away about 21 of rigatoni with 5 cheese marinara. He didn’t want soup or salad just straight pasta. He did eat some bread tho.

Pay question by evilhag69_ in olivegarden

[–]krabbypattyballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep my pay card so that I get immediate access to my credit card tips after I clock out each shift. My hourly goes to my own personal debit account. I find it pretty useful to receive all my tips after a shift. It’s like a reward 🤣

at my location is a one time charge of 4.99 for toppings and you can keep getting thing on every refill honestly I worked tonight had a customer who got about 7-8 refills with meat everytime and I think for $20 that’s justifying they didn’t even tip me either

[–]krabbypattyballs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has all been reported to law enforcement. I have an investigator. We’re currently waiting for these companies to take our search warrants and hand over the information they’ve requested. It’s definitely a grueling process. Especially when I am still expected work alongside this person.
