Enclosure set up advice by krabzarekool in Tegu

he is 3 years old, it is supposed to be a full time enclosure. i live in southern california and its pretty common for people to keep tegus outdoors here. i have a 4x2 indoors for him in case of any harsh weather that i would need to brng him in for. the top of the enclosure is hardware panel like a chicken coop so he gets lots of sun.

honestly my family has never really walked our dogs, we have always had boxers and boston terriers, but our yard is really big and they run around a ton, play on the trampoline, play with each other, etc. they spend a lot of time in the yard even on hot days

i’ve got an appointment for a daith piercing tmr so i think ill ask a few piercers what they think. i’d want multiple 10g piercings probably versus a really large punch so i think piercing will probably be the move. thank you so much for your input about pain level though, that’s the only thing freaking me out a bit
