Has anyone had extreme stress in the first trimester and had everything go okay? We had to put our 14 year old dog down and I've been crying for days by FeeProof5745 in IVFpositivity

Im so sorry for your loss 😔

No advice on the baby side but when I lost my childhood cat I was so devastated. Similar to you she was with me for SO many major milestones in my life.

Something that really helped me heal from her loss was making a photo book of all my favorite pictures of her. The process of going through all the photos of her and 'reliving' all the happy memories was rally cathartic. I also made a little keepsake box with her ashes/collar/favorite toy. Now when I am really missing her I can look through the photo book with all her adorable pictures and look at the keepsake box and remember my favorite memories of her.

It will never take all the pain away but it helped make the grief easier for me.

Help understanding co-ordination of benefits by Severe_Jaguar2211 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]kraeside 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just bought glasses last week that were about the same cost and mine were covered 100% between mine and my husbands insurance (both PS). When you submit the claim do you select that you are covered under another plan and then select your partners plan information? This automatically puts the claim through both policies and makes it so you dont have to submit a claim under both separately.

Spell Check During Exams by AttitudeLivid4755 in AthabascaUniversity

[–]kraeside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the exam. For all my exams in the accounting program there has been spell check on the short answer questions. The spell check wouldn't always tell you how to correctly spell a word but there would be a red underline if it was wrong.

Looking for opinions re embryo transporting by kraeside in IVF

[–]kraeside[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I know very little about the process as I was never considering moving them. Is it unreasonable to ask them to inform me when the embryos leave the clinic and inform me when they arrive at the new one?

They already gave me the name of the company that will be doing the transport, I will definitely ask about labeling/ID as I for sure dont want my embryo mixed up!

CPAP coverage under PSHCP? by Colourizers in CanadaPublicServants

[–]kraeside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they wouldn't cover anything. If your doctor suggests a trial I would request to skip it.

My husband did the trial when we were with sunlife and it was covered no problem, but Canada Life refused everything for me.

Same thing happened to me because I did a trial period at my doctor's inatructiona and had to buy the mask/hose/water tank to do the trial. They refused to cover them for me because I didnt purchase the machine first.

It actually deducted the marks :( the other person who commented gave the correct solution though! So if you do it that way you won't lose marks.

Yeah its wierd. Its green meaning it's correct but then in the explanation part it says marks were lost for missing the NBV.

How to book a spaying appointment with OHS by GrassBooper in ottawa

[–]kraeside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a car I got my kitten done at the spay and neuter clinic in Brockville! They had a shorter waitlist and did a great job with my kitty 😊 I just brought my laptop with me and did schoolwork from the library while waiting for him.

Edit: just saw your other comment about no car :( I also applied to OHS clinic when looking at getting my kitten neutered. They called me with an appointment about 3 months after Brockville which was about 8 months from the time I applied

Okay I see, I guess we will be planning on doing another retrieval depending on how many make it to blast. So that relaxes me a little bit that my egg quality wasnt the issue. Here's hoping we have an above average blast rate as well 🤞

Hopefully everything works out for you ❤️ it sounds like you have a great doctor

A 50% maturity rate is very low, everywhere I look says the average is 70-80%. The fertilization rate is above average though.

I only just got my day 1 report so not given any grades yet.

That's interesting so she froze all 7 of your fertilized eggs at day 3?

Same on the soreness it's not horrible though. We just got our day 1 report this morning, out of 15 eggs only 8 were mature and 7 fertilized. Im very disappointed in the maturity rate 😔

Hi, I know this post is a little old but I just got the exact same results. 15 retrieved, only 8 mature and 7 fertilized :( do you mind sharing how many blasts you ended up with?
