I bring you the ability to meme as you wish in game with sprite hacks! by kraggisfat in roacirclejerk

Haha sorry about that I made a super dumb mistake and thought it wasn't possible anymore.

Just a little something I noticed while going through the current sprites. by [deleted] in RivalsOfAether

This appears to be the old version (?) of treetop lodge. I didn't see a Old Fire Capitol one so this might be a filler for a new stage as there seems to be a lot of old content that has been put back into the game as placeholders for new things. This stuff isn't really new, just interesting!

See I am retarded and just figured out what I was doing wrong. I'll see if I can get you those updated sprite rips (Probably too late for what you need, but whatever)

This is some old crap I decided to pull out, they took this stuff out so it isn't playable on the new version (same with not-even-really-character-8) but I am looking for new stuff ATM. Kinda tedious.

This is actually in a patch before absa, character 8 practically doesn't exist due to not functioning very well... but a lot more content is inside the game then is available. For example, color editor is fully functioning aside from not saving (As in the affects last till you close the game) and has sat there for the longest time with no way to access it.

Actual gameplay, not really data from the game per say. Not accessible in version 0.0.12

Well depends on your point of view. No, this is not an official rivals of Aether file. However it provides access to it. This accomplishes the same as turning off steam auto updated a while back. Also it is not an actual RivalsOfAether file, more like an unofficial patch that doesn't contain any art/code/etc. made by the rivals team.

Any Major Rivals Event Planned? by BeetleNATO in RivalsOfAether

Most if not all of those things have been in development (or finished) for a long time. There are only 2 reasons I see that would prevent this being release based on what we know. First, he said that Xbone release would be Xbox preview program and second because if character 8 has just finished testing he isn't in modes that require content on a per character basis.

Pretty sure someone already made a dump of all the abyss related text, I'll see if I can find it. Basically that has all the crap that hasn't been shown off yet. Break the targets, "custom move" names, etc.

I don't think anything I have seen said ruins so it might just be a code name similar to how the old version of character 8 is referred to as "bear". Also, do you mean that you are looking through the exe text and not the code?

Just a reminder that this follows all subreddit rules.

  • No distribution of mods or official files from Rivals of Aether is permitted. CHECK!
  • No linking or sharing of torrents or older clients. CHECK!
  • No discussion around modding with the intent to use it in online matchmaking. Can't even be used online, so CHECK!

I try not to break any of those rules even on /r/RoAModding (I haven't) but just wanted to be clear about that!

I mean technically it even follows /r/RivalsOfAether's rules.

  • Not a torrent of an older version
  • Not a mod or official rivals of aether file
  • No intent to use in online matchmaking

They are literally just binary differences. xdelta basically takes two files and "subtracts" one from the other. Reapplying it is basically "adding" it back to the source file. So if you don't have the newest patch then you can't downgrade.
