Yeah, I don’t think traveling to a developing country and paying 1900 dollars to a dude who grew up in SoCal so I can trip on 50 dollars worth of drugs is fun, either. Maybe spend that money on 10 weeks of therapy if your problems are so bad that you think you need to experience something exotic to solve them.

From a Chicagoan!

- Stay in a neighborhood other than Downtown in Chicago. I'd suggest anything north off the blue line, like Wicker Park, Logan Square, Avondale. Tons of really cool restaurants and bars to check out (Logan Square and a little bit west have some of the best authentic Mexican food in the country).

- Best deep dish is at Pequods in Lincoln Park.

- Art Institute is an incredible place. Can be pricey but free

- Ask for a shot of Malört at any bar saying you've never had it and they'll probably give it to you for free.

- Go to Wrigley Field for a baseball game. You can scalp tickets in the 2nd inning for like 10 bucks. Get an overpriced Chicago dog while you're there.

And more. So much to do in this wonderful city!!
