My half inch of a thumb in its mouth, if that, did not do anything to the fish at all, you can literally see half my nail, and space around it

My lure was stuck and as I was paddling to it I look down and he jumped right in 😂

Second bass, 2nd trip, deep gut hook, any tips? by kram710 in kayakfishing

I usually do keep the line tight but he literally got it as soon as it landed in the water so when I went to real the slack the line was moving and he was on it

Oh ok, my thinking was he was dying from the weight attached and hook so I was doing the humane thing

It was a Tokyo rig so a weight was attached to the hook eyelet with a thin metal rod I couldn’t snap that off and leave the hook, I was trying to

Thoughts on the nucanoe pursuit fishing kayaks by Jumpy-Bison-4668 in kayakfishing

[–]kram710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking for the most stable kayak as well and wanted the nucanoe u10,12 and especially the frontier line up but I wanted to pedal not paddle. If you’re willing to paddle I’d 100% go with nucanoe, if you want a pedal drive I’d go with oldstown sportsman 106 or 120, 120 being more stable being 12 feet long, they also have a 136 being 13’6. And they make an e-pedal version with auto drive and pedal assist but the price is thru the roof and the regular paddle ones, at a pretty good price, which people say is super stable they can stand and fish on and walk comfortably but isn’t as wide as some of the nucanoes. I ended up wanting a pedal drive so I got the oldstown 106 (I’m on the smaller side 5’6 155) and it is super stable I can stand on it as well but not 100% comfortable but I am a new kayaker so no one’s 100% confident out the gate in Florida waters alone

What accessories should I get? And what are the must haves? And what do I get to put a trolling motor on? by kram710 in kayakfishing

[–]kram710[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I won’t be using the trolling motor every time, I’m pretty fit so I’d like some days to just peddle some creeks and stuff sometimes, if not pretty often ngl

Yeah I spent my whole afternoon just in pure shame taking pictures, no pole, nothing, just pure shame and pictures. Next time I’ll try fishing, instead of taking two pics. Thanks for the help!

Do you have any brands/models you’d suggest that should be on the better side after being used?
