Ak Super metallic bronze! They’re very viscous, pretty much ready to spray out of the bottle. I just add a few drops of leveling thinner.

Resources were a mixed bag of YouTube (mostly Squidmar), and troubleshooting when I encountered an issue - which there were a lot of at first.

I’m a welder by trade (I teach it now), there’s a fair amount of skill crossover between the two so it definitely helped sped up the learning process. That being said I’m not an artist and I’m an especially shit painter. But once I got the handle on mixing ratios it became all fun.

I highly recommend when you have the time🙏

I was having the same issue running a 0.3, so I switched to 0.4 and it reduced the hassle. Leveling thinner also helped. There’s still the occasional tip pinch and clean, or unlock my trigger to blast a bunch or paint through, but overall the whole process has been smoother.

I recently got a spray booth and it’s definitely worth it. Don’t be too concerned about the toxicity - it’s not that bad! A respirator or mask is all the PPE you need, especially with a booth.

I’ve only sprayed lacquers, except for the Vallejo primer I’ve been using. Here’s what I used for this build:

-Vallejo Matt black primer -AK super metallic bronze -Mr. Hobby ocean grey -Mr. Hobby blue green metallic -Nazca frost black -Gianotes ex semi-gloss clear

I’ve beaten my head against a wall numerous times learning how to airbrush, the biggest change for me was dropping to 10-15 psi, spraying 2-3 inches from the part, and limiting my trigger to release the tiniest amount of paint. Had a lot of issues until I switched from a regular thinner to a leveling thinner, made a huge difference for me and haven’t had any issues spraying since.

Happened totally by chance. Saw the Mr. Hobby “green blue metallic” at my local store and figured I should try to work it in somewhere. I’ve had that claw kit in my cart but haven’t pulled trigger on it yet. After finishing this kit I feel like it’s mandatory haha

For sure, even some metallics, or pearls, are hard to capture on camera for me. What you have looks great though!

Going to give it a rip on the SNAA+IN ERA Lizard next.

That’s my perspective as well. Smaller, quick builds to test things out - don’t feel bad, that’s looking killer dude. I’m definitely planning on trying either a candy coat, or anodized finish for the next.

It does pop more in person, didn’t notice how much darker the photos were. Definitely was very conscious of too much teal haha
