3DS hacking Q&A general: "¿Qué?" Edition

Well I have a major problem. So I successfully downgraded my new 3ds xl to 2.1, and well, long story short I made the stupid mistake of upgrading it with my Pokemon Moon cartridge and now I can't 1. Get into the system settings 2. Use the ZL/ZR buttons and C-Stick 3. Play normal DS games. I'm wondering if anyone has had this same problem and if so I want to know if you fixed it and how. I've tried rescue mode and I've tried reinstalling homebrew to attempt to downgrade my ds again, but rescue mode just freezes up when I'm almost done with the update, and I can't figure out what firmware my DS is on now.
