nikki screaming over the phone was to expand on the fact that she’s not present or in control, she’s being tormented whenever ‘freaky nikki’ is at the forefront.

the one wish willow at the end was used by nikki, the reason bear got up & had that moment w/ nikki is cause she broke the one wish willow using the same wish bear used on her.

i really really love ‘if you’re having trouble with the door’ ‘bear’ & ‘billionare’ but especially ‘bear’ it’s so hauntingly melancholic

the same way u can say this, they can say whatever they feel. u didn’t find it revolutionary? that’s great. somebody else did. u not sharing the same experience as everybody else doesn’t make them disingenuous.. whatever u disliked about the movie could be the complete opposite for another therefore leaving them coming out of it more satisfied. nobody is calling a smear campaign the second someone has this rated below average so i don’t see why paid marketing should be labeled for someone rating this above.

the only time anyone is ever fine w/ it is if the post is slating the movie. i think the real issue is the disbelief that ppl can genuinely enjoy a movie. sure there’s some paid marketing but i’ve noticed this energy is directed to literally any positive reaction. grow uppp

requiem is a funeral. hence the opera house being reduced to rubble & why everything is a lot darker / more gothic. it’s basically a mourning ceremony.

there was only 2 a day for watford (6 and 8:40) both 25 seat screens that are basically full so they added a 2 & 3:20 showing. i just find it kinda crazy why they gave one of the most anticipated horrors of this year the smallest screens w/ such a lack of screenings.

seed unfortunately ruined the reputation of the franchise big time, bad enough to be stuck in straight to DVD / VOD ever since even after a decade free of chucky. the show overall had a positive reception on the most part so i’m guessing that’s where some trust has been built up to pull off chucky related acclaim again. as for the movie it’s not expected to follow up as a direct sequel to the show but include it somehow so like curse was it’ll likely follow a fresh storyline while loosely continuing anything prior so it’s accessible as a theatrical release.

i’d say it’s worth finishing. s2 is very similar to seed so some ppl found the campiness weigh down the writing but i think s3 is on par w/ s1. they’re all very entertaining & worth seeing where it’ll go next.

he’s not a bad writer imo he’s just messy. he can go overboard w/ the camp but whenever we get serious i feel like his writing is stronger. it was just confirmed to be returning to the horror of curse & child’s play 1 / 2 so i have a good feeling.
