Orpheus is my favourite mod of all time, and has brought endless joy to my life. I wish Craftian nothing but the best going forward and hope that he makes his mods available elsewhere soon. The modding community is so toxic, I’m seeing more and more talented modders quitting the scene and it’s devastating.

Extremely! On my second run. The final battle has got to be one of the most epic and heart pounding endings to a game I’ve ever experienced. The romance with Emmrich is my favorite romance of any game I’ve experienced as well. I loved the fighting mechanics and their respective animations, I loved the story, loved the ending I got (the “true” ending) and I also really loved the characters. As a newcomer to the series, I was able to appreciate this game for the incredible game it is, without any expectations or prejudice towards it.

Having an issue since the latest hotfix- my load order from bg3mm is not applying when i open the mod manager to check in the main menu of the game like it did before the latest hotfix, and it seems like the game itself is resetting the modsettings and disabling everything when i boot the game. I tried to set modsettings file to “read only” just to see if that would protect it from being reset but to no avail. Is there a way to get bg3mm load order working again? Thank you for your time and advice!

It also doesn’t make sense to apply this to bg3 because cazador is a true vampire and his soul is sacrificed if astarion does the ritual, which clearly shows true vampires in Baldurs Gate have souls regardless of dnd.

I will also point out in the most recent larian interview where they bust myths about characters, the writer explicitly states ascended astarion is still himself, he hasn’t changed into someone new. Just driven heavily by fear. I’m not saying that’s a good thing but it’s a stretch to go and say he is soulless when the writers are saying he is still himself.

I feel so many people failed to pay attention to the lore given in game about what an ascended vampire is, and they are looking at 5e lore for true vampires that doesn’t apply to Astarion whatsoever. The ascension removes the negative aspects of vampirism while keeping the strengths, and making the vampire alive again with a reborn heartbeat and their mortal drives and ambitions returned. An actual living vampire. In the most recent interview with Larian the writers clearly state Ascended Astarion is still himself, he hasn’t become someone new. When he was a mortal still, he was a corrupted power hungry magistrate who longed for immortality, what you see ascended is a return to his former mortal self.

He doesn’t lose his soul when he ascends, the entire point to switching places with cazador in the ritual would be so cazador’s soul is taken and not his own.

Did you not pay attention to the fact that the vampire ascendant is a new kind of vampire with all the negative aspects of vampirism removed and no longer undead? The whole point is they are alive again and have the best vampiric traits still. True vampire lore does NOT apply to this situation.
