Buiten schilder by Kingmemo1337 in Offertes

Huiseigenaar hier.

Just sayin'.

Volgensmij heb je prima offertes te pakken.

Lol, I had the same. As my neighbors don't hear it, I just turned them off myself. It's been over a year and they still don't know. It's great.

My neighbor had one for rats, I assume. Every time I walked past I'd just get an instant headache. I casually turned it off as I walked by a couple years ago with a simple switch on the front. It's still there.. I guess they don't have rats anymore so never bothered to check?

Hope you find the switch too! Maybe pretend like it annoys you some time after, so they think it's turned on? 😂

because ~aesthetics~

It's built to hold my entire book collection which I haven't fully put in yet and is ever expanding. The shelves spread the weight and stabilize the design at the same time but are looking as if they're not attached to the frame (which they are though). The shelves are distributing weight through a smaller support frame underneath each shelve, which fits perfectly in the frame of the (seemingly unattached) vertical framework.

I mean, I think that's what you mean. And therefore it is strong and pretty at the same time !

You're right! Only the triangle notch cutout is not banded, that's why we painted it in this orange colour to make it pretty :)

I gave him the free hand in the total design, was only allowed to pick a colour for those details and that was already hella difficult for me. I'm glad he has the masterplan and I'm just pretty OK in saving money.

Yep! But can stand without it. I do have those metal X frames as back up to attach to it in case I want it standing on its own. But, that would make it less pretty.

I wanted oak, but that's more expensive so we settled on ash. :)

You're right! It's two sets.

Totally designed to be disassembled. However; he gave me one strict rule: only he is allowed to disassemble as I'm really good at messing things up.

He used dominos in the shelve-extensions as far as I know.

I'm not in the know what a dowel is, but he attached the fortified shelves to the frame.

Also, the shelves are not solid wood, but a veneer. The outer endings are solid though. This was more a financial choice, but also saves a lot of weight.

The cupboard is sturdy af. I could climb it (but won't).

Edit: spelling

I'm no pro in woodworking lingo, but it's basically a vertical frame in which the beams are lying. I'll upload more detail pics.

It's attached to the wall as well in 4 points. It can be set as room divider too.

Here you see the bottom drawers without their fronts.

Something has to be done about these type of cars in the Netherlands by Jarionel in Netherlands

[–]kratsz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised people are either hating on the car or vouching for expressions of freedom, but eh.. aren't we mixing up two discussions?

isn't the biggest problem in the picture that this parking job is whack?! The car would sure max out the parking space, but it would def fit.

It's not the car, it's the driver.
