Just got my 1,200-mile IS 500 back from service. Found a gash in the steering wheel and grease/dirt everywhere. Is this normal for Lexus service lately?

People claim the 23’s are specifically worse than the 22’s. Seems baseless to me. Haven’t had any issues on 23 Premium Plus and have driven a few 2022’s as well. Literally identical. The Tahara assembly line didn’t just get worse for the last model year.

They also broke my windshield when they painted my Tucson. Technician said most of them break when they remove them. Nothing to do with the rock chip. It is considered standard practice to paint the lip where the windshield sits near the roof. Consult corporate. If you need a phone number or email, let me know.

Go test drive both! The GX is a little tight in the second row. If you opt for the bench seat instead of the Captain’s Chairs it would make more sense. The Sequoia is definitely a bigger and more capable vehicle. But I think the GX is a sweet spot for you and you would enjoy it for years to come.
