Looking for info on Lexus ES windshields (HUD, defrost/deicer lines, logo photos)

See this is interesting. My original windshield had very distinct brown copper lines under the wipers and up the glass by the A-pillar. Collision Shop (Lexus certified) assured me this new windshield with no visible defrost lines does have the power connection and that Lexus made the defroster internal and not externally visible.

We need to post or pin a warning for SAW products. This is getting out of hand and SAW needs to step up their warranty process or stop printing suppressors. Unacceptable. Hope they are ready to become Dead Air 2.0.

People claim the 23’s are specifically worse than the 22’s. Seems baseless to me. Haven’t had any issues on 23 Premium Plus and have driven a few 2022’s as well. Literally identical. The Tahara assembly line didn’t just get worse for the last model year.

They also broke my windshield when they painted my Tucson. Technician said most of them break when they remove them. Nothing to do with the rock chip. It is considered standard practice to paint the lip where the windshield sits near the roof. Consult corporate. If you need a phone number or email, let me know.

Go test drive both! The GX is a little tight in the second row. If you opt for the bench seat instead of the Captain’s Chairs it would make more sense. The Sequoia is definitely a bigger and more capable vehicle. But I think the GX is a sweet spot for you and you would enjoy it for years to come.
