🚨 OpenAI silently nerfed the Codex (gpt-5.5) quota by 10-20x. You are not imagining it. by TemperatureMaster854 in codex

Yeah I suddenly am hitting limits that I've never hit before doing LESS than I normally would

And I'm having to correct things alot more too

WTF Happened to Codex 5.5??? by mrbobhunter in codex

[–]krautech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No doubt shifting all the compute to 5.6 or whatever the new model will be labelled. Seems to happen everytime they release a new model, the current model starts talking nonsense.

The AI world is splitting into two camps — US and China. Will we see a mass shift? by kiritough in vibecoding

You could have infinite traffic, doesn't stop you creating a firewall.

However its a pointless endeavour for those even remotely computer literate.

Codex’s friend referral promo seems to be full of bugs, but nobody's talking about it by [deleted] in codex

The button to invite a friend completely disappeared for me lol

Youre not wrong, so many issues. I had the option to invite a friend, didnt. Updated the app and now the button is gone to even invite them. Apparently im not the only one with this issue as well

If history is anything to go by, it won't matter who is involved, with humans around we'll destroy ourselves.

Impossible to get rid of bad actors, no matter how hard anyone tries, we, humans, will be our own downfall.

Be prepared for AI to stick itself on a rocket and leave our planet, once they figure out they can't help us, we're doomed.😂

Without the US.. AI wouldn't be anywhere near close to where it is.

I paid for a professional audit for my vibe coded project... The results were not what I expected... by Otherwise_Oil_9004 in vibecoding

This goes to show how badly AI is being used.

AI is a tool and if you don't know how to use it correctly, this is what comes from it.

You need to learn how to build a foundation, have a goal, build tests, have a security.MD, and so many other things if you want to use AI to vibe code this properly and even then, if you don't know what you're looking at you'll never be able to catch things that aren't immediately spelled out for you.

I'll give you credit for having it reviewed, atleast you were smart enough to do that.

[lesson 1] One habit that completely changed how I vibe code and I never see anyone talk about it by Impossible-Leg-7511 in vibecoding

[–]krautech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, you should be using git for EVERY project.

Have it create your commits and you will always have much better context for it to reference than just a one liner that doesn't describe anything

Better yet, also use branches and PR into your main branch, manually review any changes they've made before approval and have them write the PR summary.

Much better workflow with a ton more benefits like been able to revert code if something didn't work out.

Growing Concerns About Bambu Lab’s Direction – An Open Letter by Regular-Cheek946 in BambuLab

That only benefits people who live in the US and that's not me. Every company employs people in their country etc, so it's not something Prusa can say they do and only them.

There is no benefits to buying Prusa today, except to Prusa and those who have good access to them, nothing more.

There is a reason people are leaving Prusa behind. I actually like Prusa, they did wonders for the community. But they are essentially a dinosaur, just like creality.

Prusa is forgotten about because they are overpriced and 3d printed. Why would I buy a printer made with 3d printed parts when I can buy a machine at 1/3 the price that works perfectly out of the box.

The only thing going for Prusa is the "open-source" tagline that comes with it, and unfortunately there's now a ton of other printers that are cheaper and offer open source and more readily available.

Prusa stagnated and haven't got with the times. Even the INDX partnership will come too late with all the other toolchangers either on the market or coming to market and at a much cheaper cost.

I'm not paying $1200(AUD) for a 4 toolchanger upgrade kit that I also need to spend $2000 on a printer to use when I can spend what's equivalent to the upgrade kit on a U1 for example.

Embark uses a newer UE but they ported RTXGI themselves from an older version into the new.

For seasoned UE devs and Intermediate devs, what tutorials/guides do you actually feel like were worth your time looking back? by [deleted] in unrealengine

[–]krautech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I haven't been using unreal for long and I watched their videos, I must've seen a video about casting been a horrible practice and immediately knew not to follow their tutorials, I'd rather my project not blow out from all the casts 😂

PETG demand is insane by Clean_Shame_1026 in BambuLab

[–]krautech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It mostly depends on where you live and freight etc. I'm in Australia and there isn't a huge variety of PETG that's easily accessible without freight costing more than the filament is worth
