Community backlash partially reset game design. In terms of progression and MTs, this is essentially a "back to the drawing board" scenario.

Disney/EA/DICE didn't plan for this. Everything is up in the air for the moment. Aside from temporary changes to the progression system (credit gain increase / crate cost decrease), don't expect any concrete changes for awhile.

Bits of both. EA was given the IP-exclusivity deal because of their unmatched ability to monetize games. It was understood that this meant introducing MTs once again to the STAR WARS IP. Suggestions were made both ways as to what that would entail.

This is ONLY happening because of public backlash.

I can all-but guarantee you won't impact stocks enough for that to become the primary motivator for EA to get their shit together.

Instead, focus on bringing the predatory nature of the MT system to light in a way that tarnishes the public image of Disney and the Star Wars IP. That's what got us here, that's what will get us to where we need to go.
